Cars are highly regulated, with pushes to regulate them more. "Liberals" are responsible for seatbelt laws, and anti drunken driving laws.

Cars are registered, and you need a license to drive one. It is the exact opposite of what the alt right wants for guns.

This is a direct result of OP's beloved Commie indoctrination in the schools and lack of discipline and teaching of firearm safety.

There were guns everywhere when I was a kid, but the only kid that got shot in town was way far away.

Years later I ended up knowing that guy (by chance) that got shot and his fuckhead brother that did it.

You can't fix fuckhead. He's an asshole among assholes. I rescued a 15 year old girl from him trying to force her into sex when he was like...20-something.

Oh! Maybe that's why she's so nice to me. I forgot about that. All that time we were hanging out..I never remembered that until just now.

Things make more sense now.

I own a gun. It is well protected and the ammo is not stored with the gun.

My gun has never killed a child.

Are children killed after a gun is discharged the victims of "guns" or the victims of idiots who do not practice rational safety measures?

Are the children killed in auto accidents the victims of automobiles or the victims of idiots who do not practice rational safety practices?

They reveal the ATF routinely issued softer penalties than warranted under agency guidelines when it discovered violations at these stores — in step with a pattern of conciliatory inspections the media organizations first uncovered last year.

That investigation found that between 2015 and 2017, the ATF regularly downgraded penalties for lawbreaking retailers across the U.S. The review of more than 2,000 gun dealers showed that many dealers had brazenly flouted federal laws, selling weapons to convicted felons and domestic abusers, lying to inspectors and falsifying ledgers to hide their misconduct. When the ATF discovered these violations, it often issued warnings, sometimes repeatedly, and allowed stores to stay open.

The new batch of records provides details of inspections conducted as far back as 2009 and suggests the ATF’s lax approach to investigating gun dealers has continued for significantly longer than originally known.

In seven instances related to the stores supplying Chicago with crime guns, the ATF issued softer penalties than violations warranted. In at least three inspections, the agency discovered problems severe enough to warrant revoking a dealer’s license but issued warnings instead.


In a statement, an ATF spokesperson said “supervisors and managers make recommendations based on the totality of the inspection and in accordance with policy to ensure consistent enforcement nationwide. ATF can only revoke for willful violations of the Gun Control Act.”

Some own cars and some own guns. Blaming the manufacturer for the actions of idiots seems indirect at best and insane on its face.

We are informed repetaedly by out Educational Experts that the system they have created and maintain is the best in the world.

Training people to drive and observe traffic laws seems like a very basic, very trainable and easily defined set of skills and understandings.

Perhaps we should make this a mandatory course of study and graduation with a Public School Diploma be linked to the successful completion of the course earning a an A-Level grade point.

Sadly, nothing good, in a medical sense, came from all of the insanity rising from the measures that were intended to mitigate the virus.

There seems to have been only two goals intended by those implementing the mitigation measures:

1. Free up a whole bunch of money to steal
2. Get Trump out of office.

They achieved the only goals they sought. The Virus, as they assumed from the start, would peter out in about three years and the death toll was outrageous.

We were conned, once again, by those that we elect and then con us for a living.

Let’s clear it up for the millionth time, no one is coming after your gun, the problem is the too easy access to guns especially given the record number of guns out there

And if you read they the above, you’ll see why the auto comparison is irrelevant, can’t keep repeating the same thing over and over to every new poster who enters

If people do not like Hawkeye's driving, they should stay off the sidewalks. Everywhere around the road, car lanes, bike lanes, sidewalks, lawns, etc. are for cars.

Sorry, Cletus, but wrong again. Who do you think has mandated all manner of safety systems in cars? Everything from side airbags to crash-resistant car seats -- and laws mandating their use -- have saved thousands of childrens' lives. No point in even addressing your silliness about drunk driving and texting while driving. Lots of laws against that too.
