Why didn't you just put the victim on the stand as a defense witness if that was the case?

Rightists want to make it so that any woman who reports rape where there isn't enough evidence automatically goes to prison. This is ridiculous. Not having proof beyond a reasonable doubt of rape is not proof beyond a reasonable doubt that the rape accusation was false. Again, they just want to discourage women from reporting rape so that they're open season, so that everyone is too afraid to report what went on, that if they don't have absolute proof of it they will be thrown in jail themselves.
