Throughout August, members of Congress are back home, where the hands they shake and the voices they hear will not belong to lobbyists, but to people like you.

Home is where we're strongest. We didn't win last year's election together at a committee hearing in D.C. We won it on the doorsteps and the phone lines, at the softball games and the town meetings, and in every part of this great country where people gather to talk about what matters most. And if you're willing to step up once again, that's exactly where we're going to win this historic campaign for the guaranteed, affordable health insurance that every American deserves.

There are those who profit from the status quo, or see this debate as a political game, and they will stop at nothing to block reform. They are filling the airwaves and the internet with outrageous falsehoods to scare people into opposing change. And some people, not surprisingly, are getting pretty nervous. So we've got to get out there, fight lies with truth, and set the record straight.

People are leaving AARP in droves and the majority of Americans, now fully informed, say they don't want Obamacare. Even Obama threw it under the bus. :)

Since the White House's Reality Check site launched, we've seen incredible response from individuals eager to get the facts about health insurance reform and pass them along to family and friends.

An ironic development is that the launch of an online program meant to provide facts about health insurance reform has itself become the target of fear-mongering and online rumors that are the tactics of choice for the defenders of the status quo.

E-mail updates from the White House have played a central role in our effort to push back on misinformation and get the facts out about health insurance reform, these updates will continue to be an important source of information about the president, his priorities and opportunities for public participation.
 
you are full of shit DNC....you are using fear mongering to get people behind this bill....just like obama did to get his spendulus passed, if we don't do it, all hell will break loose....

Under health insurance reform, insurance company Death Panels will be prohibited from refusing coverage because of someone’s medical history.

Insurance companies will be required to renew any policy as long as the policyholder pays their premium in full.

Insurance company Death Panels will not be allowed to refuse renewals because someone became sick.

Insurance company Death Panels will be prohibited from dropping or watering down insurance coverage for those who are - or become - ill.

Yet you want the Death Panels to continue.

Why is that?
 
Nobody wants insurance companies to be able to drop a sick patient or refuse treatment. The government Death Panel will do exactly that. President Obama has stated publicly that a sick old grandmother should take pain pills instead of treating her condition.

The fight is in the FIGHT ... and democrats have consistently proven they don't have the balls for a fight. You're being pushed around by a bunch of geriatric skin-diseased geezers who don't have brains .. and your leader is a pussy of the highest order.

The left does not belong in the Democratic Party and that is starting to sink into many minds.

They will say anything to scare us about the cost of action but say nothing about the ongoing cost of inaction.

Rationed care, higher costs, denied coverage and bureaucrats getting between you and your doctor is what is currently happening and the reason why we need to reform health insurance.

Republicans started the wars. How dare they complain about health care costs!
