I think it is common knowledge that Republicans generally do not hold intelligence, education, and erudition in high regard or esteem.

To the Republican base, their most popular and beloved conservative politicians were - by presidential standards - remarkably dim witted, unintelligent, unsophisticated, and inarticulate: aka, Donald J. Trumpf, Sarah Palin, George Dumbya Bush, Bedtime for Bonzo.
 
Term One - Won by 9.5 Million Votes

Term Two - Won by 5 Million Votes

Something Trump will never be able to say ....

Obama lost the House by one of the largest margins in History.

Obama then lost the Senate by one of the largest margins in history. Something Trump will never have to say.
 
Obama wasn't smart or intelligent. He was created by the media and was a faux political thinker. He had no new ideas, and saw some of the worst FP since Carter.
