And that is because in almost all engagements they file arrest reports that are full of lies, such as a person assaulting them, or a vehicle ramming them, and those lies only get refuted when citizen video shows up to show how brazen the lies were.
You can assume in almost 100% of the times when no citizen video is available they are lying and getting away with it. And that is why they only use their own cell phones, so if the footage is 'Social Media friendly' for them they post it, but if not they delete it.

100% of time his security detail would shoot you RIGHTEOUSLY and they would never surrender Trump to the mob by allowing the mob to surround them and over run them.
There are no, none, not even one U.S. jurisdictions that require absolute knowledge (i.e., 100% certainty or visual confirmation) that an attacker has a weapon before a civilian can use deadly force in self-defense. The universal standard across all states is reasonable belief in an imminent threat of death or serious bodily injury, not certainty about a specific weapon.
The reason "we" are "held to a higher standard" is that you are making sh*t up, applying imaginary standards that are not required and are simply wrong about every element of what you stated.

Pretti had a loaded gun. He was struggling with ICE officers who saw that he had a gun. In the rather violent tussle, one ICE officer quickly seized the opportunity to reached down and remove the gun from Pretti's holster. Before that officer could shout "I got the gun", Pretti reached for it in an attempt to draw it and presumably shoot as many officers as he could, but obviously the gun wasn't there. The other ICE officers, unaware that the gun was not there, nonetheless saw Pretti reach for it and shot him. After shooting Pretti, the officers asked "Where's the gun?" to which the officer who grabbed the gun informed them that he had it.
Pretti was a stupid, violent assaulter of law enforcement officers who got himself killed.

Look for one officer to grab the gun in the tussle. After the shooting, look for another officer to ask "where's the gun?"
