There are tons of good movies out there. Unfortunately, there are even more bad ones. What are some of your favorites?
I'll start the the list with one of my all time favorite movies. OFFICE SPACE is a comedy about the sad plight of the American office worker. Though it's a comedy, it makes a lot of valid and cutting observations. This is a movie that you must see.

Pre-Code,early Stanwyck,Directed by Frank Capra
He didn't have Stanwyck rehearse because her first time doing a scene was her best.
Greatest emotional performance ,I ever saw.
 
Caddyshack has to be up there.

Most of the films from Christopher Nolan. The only films of his that I know I haven't seen are his Prestige ones- they seem to be a little on the scary side, never been a fan of scary stuff in general.

I like sci fi a fair amount, so I've seen and liked most of the Star Wars and Star Trek films. For Star Wars, there's one glaring exception- the last of the 9, "The Last Jedi". I decided it was so bad as I was watching it that I decided it wasn't worth finishing. I really liked the Back to the Future series.

For medieval types, Lord of the Rings was great. I think making The Hobbit into a trilogy of films was too much- I think I only saw the first one.
