Fatal shooting at Denver screening of The Dark Knight Rises

I think the 10 round law was a good start, a compromise.

That really doesn't bother me. But I question how much good it will do. Changing mags only takes a second or less.

But I could live with limiting the capacity of magazines. Just don't expect much of a difference.

See, reasonable people compromise, why can't everyone be as reasonable as us?

J Mac, you get what you give, you are no innocent when it comes to insults, sorry, but do unto others, etc.

Oh please. I have been posting on topic, and backed up with articles because of the fragile ego's in here....But I will concede that I am losing that battle of lashing out with myself, after so many attacks that I have bit my lip on...In any case, so far it hasn't really been you to my knowledge that has been the biggest crier on the liberal side, nor have you really been the biggest troll...

I guess what I am saying is that I have tried it both ways now, so I think I will just fight fire with fire from now on.

I am not sure they even make a 10 round magazine for an AR 15 do they? I always thought 20 rounds was the smallest because the magazine has to clear the mag chamber.

the guns just make it easier to carry out these insane ideas.

reasonable gun laws can be constructed that will not infringe on the right to own a gun.

then we can be reasonable about making gun laws to make it harder for this to happen.
we can have freedom and much more safety along with better heathcare if we act like smart people and work as one people to make it happen

tell us please, what do you consider reasonable gun laws.

This is where I have a problem with what you're saying. What can we ever do to ensure crazy people will not do insane things?

More strict gun laws will not prevent this or make it harder to happen. Crazy people will STILL do insane shit... we can't prevent this.

You are emotional, and you are making rash emotional decisions based on your need to feel you've done something. You can't. Even if you do, crazy people will still do insane shit, it's going to just happen throughout life. It always will.

Which is why mental health care has been discussed as one of the answers. Especially since those who suffer from serious mental health issues are often the ones who can't afford mental health care.

But that's not an answer either. This guy wasn't interested in being helped. I don't think his problem was lack of affordable mental health care, I think it was much deeper and started many years ago, and affordable mental health care wouldn't have fixed it. I'm not even sure what kind of 'help' you can give someone who believes they should do what he did. Stop trying to find an answer, there is no answer... nothing you can do will prevent crazy people from doing insane shit.

I tried to live by that "do onto others as you would want them to do onto you" mantra when I was much younger but the gals never let me "do onto them". :(
