A dramatic shootout between authorities and suspected cartel gunmen at a Mexican seaside resort this month has ties to a botched U.S. gun operation.


A U.S. official said Tuesday that investigators have traced at least one firearm recovered at a December 18 gunfight in Puerto Peñasco, across from the Arizona border, to Operation Fast and Furious.


That's the disastrous operation run by agents in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.


Agents allowed suspected gun smugglers to buy about 2,000 firearms with the goal of trying to find and prosecute high-level traffickers.


They couldn't track the firearms and most are believed to have ended up with cartels and gangsters in Mexico.


Many have turned up at crime scenes in Mexico and the United States, including at a shooting that killed a U.S. border agent in 2010.


The shootout in Puerto Peñasco, also called Rocky Point by tourists, left at least five dead, according to Mexican authorities.

So was this gun from Obama's "Fast and Furious" or Bush's open exchange of weapons to the same people. I do remember Obama stopped the gun running, yet the ATF supervisor told them to run more guns with no follow up under Obama.

Was Obama gun running? Yes. To Mexican drug lords? .....doubt it. Only gun running Obama is doing is to Libya and Syrian rebels.

But I know you are trying to paint a picture of a president that gives drug lords guns so they can kill everyone and Obama can say "It's going exactly as planned"...

Try educated before politics.

The Fast and Furious was a gun grabbing Liberal attempt to saturate the "area" with assault weapons so any gun incidents, involving those 2000 assault weapons, would make the dumbed down American people demand a Clinton style gun ban on cosmetic assault guns. I understand that when gun dealers refused to sell any of the "assault" weapons to obvious bad guys and told the Justice Department so, the Obama Justice Department ATF ordered them to sell them. That US Migra agent was killed with one, and his family needs to sue the Justice Department, so it can go to the SCROTUS for final adjudication.

Gun Grabbing huh?..

Then why did Bush do this before Obama ON RECORD and why did Obama order a stop to it? Bush openly ran guns to these people and Obama placed an order to stop it. Later an ATF supervisor ordered people to start gun running again.

Explain this to me....
 
Don't look here, it is a "fake" scandal when the government gives guns to members of organizations who seek to kill members of neighboring governments...
