Farewell & Peace be with you Sinead O'Connor

Never was a fan but I always hate to see troubled people suffer. Hers is a sad story.

I was in high school when Nothing Compares 2 U came out. I can still remember a couple of brothas just loving that song and always hyping it up. I remember her SNL performance and then (at least for me) didn’t hear much about her after that except the maybe occasional personal issue. I don’t know her story and what she dealt with but hopefully she’s at peace now.

This is a great place to note that some of the most talented artists are tortured. I am surprised she made it to 56 years.

"I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got"

It's a great album title, and a sentiment I agree with.

You really don't find many pop music artists who write songs of this emotional and psychological depth.

I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got Lyrics

I'm walking through the desert
And I am not frightened although it's hot
I have all that I requested
And I do not want what I haven't got
I have learned this from my mother
See how happy she has made me
I will take this road much further
Though I know not where it takes me
I have water for my journey
I have bread and I have wine
No longer will I be hungry
For the bread of life is mine
I saw a navy blue bird
Flying way above the sea
I walked on and I learned later
That this navy blue bird was me
I returned a paler blue bird
And this is the advice they gave me
"You must not try to be too pure
You must fly closer to the sea"
So I'm walking through the desert
And I am not frightened although it's hot
I have all that I requested
And I do not want what I haven't got

It wasn't a comedy skit, BP.

And SNL did not stop her from doing it.

She made a protest of what was happening in Ireland here in the States where we had nothing to do with it.

Wonder what would happen if a singer tore up a pic of Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam on national TV

You're evil and I pray God takes you home tonight while you are sleeping.

Why? She was an idiot and she did kick the bucket. You maggots say far more vile things when a conservative dies so spare us your filthy whining. You pigs really think your shit doesn't smell don't you? Shut the hell up.

Her rebellious nature was mainly driven by resentment at the abuse she suffered as a child and her experience in a Dublin reformatory.

Her music rescued her, unleashing a creative talent that made her a worldwide music star - but also a rebel seemingly hell-bent to be controversial and never play the game of being an image-led pop star.

She seemed to be a rebel looking for a cause.

I believe she had a very sad life, and she only made it worse by rebelling, to what seemed to me- EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD- and saying so many hurtful things towards others throughout her life to include Prince. That without his song, that she so beautifully sung, I do not believe anyone of us would be here today discussing her, as we probably would never have ever heard of her.

May she rest in peace now.

Says one of JPP Scumbag Extraordinaires.

Haters gonna hate. Sad.

She was a singer and a mother of four. You don't have to like her or her politics, but spitting on someone's grave should only be reserved for the biggest traitors, pedophiles and other scumbags.
