FACT FOCUS: Trump claims the US is the only country with birthright citizenship. It’s not

Because the Supreme Court was made up of bigots who did not follow the clear meaning.
Was the whole Congress full of bigots when they decided to pass the Snyder act.

You do realize Snyder was a Republican from New York don't you.

Sure, because the 14th defines Citizenship by one being subject to the jurisdiction of the US.

If one is within the borders and subject to the jurisdiction, they are citizens!
For all intents, your pressing this position is no different than you pressing that abortion is a federal issue, not a state's rights one and that Roe v. Wade should again become the law of the land.

In what sense is someone in the US, not subject to our jurisdiction?
Pay attention! We just explained several of our laws that don't apply to them.

If they owe their primary allegiance to another country. Two illegal alien El Salvadorans are just temporary residents the don't have permanent domicile in the US Identical to Elk's parents. Elk's parents could not have an American citizen therefore Elk wasn't an American because he owed his allegiance to another political community that he was a member of.

One of the associate justices that helped decide Elk V Wilkins was Samuel Blatchford he entered Columbia University at age 13 and graduated at the top of his class. Are you suggesting you are smarter than he was?

Lots of our laws don’t apply to lots of people. Treason applies to anyone born here.

1) that is not true.

2)Because the Supreme Court was made up of bigots who did not follow the clear meaning.
You do realize shortly after the Civil War all the bigots were Democrats don't you. In fact they were lynching Republicans that signed up Blacks to vote.

There were plenty of bigots in both parties, but the segregationist were the Democrats.

"Subject to our jurisdiction" means that while they are in The United States foreign nationals are subject to our civil and criminal laws. Basic stuff.

IMO, you're wasting your time trying to teach MAGAts, meth heads and other dumbasses about the Constitution. They only believe what their Orange Messiah tweets to them.

For those who remember, there were similar nutjobs back in the day who believed rock bands like the Beatles, Judas Priest and Led Zeppelin were sending them secret messages, just for them, via their songs. Nowadays, we have a wannabe dictator using tweets to do the same thing to his faithful followers. As Ms. Fat Lame and other JPP MAGAts keep proving, they'll swallow whatever he is spewing.

No you didn’t
I showed you EXACTLY what the SCOTUS said it means.

The law upon the question before us has been well stated by Judge Deady in the District Court of the United States for the District of Oregon. In giving judgment against the plaintiff in a case resembling the case at bar, he said:

"Being born a member of 'an independent political community' -- the Chinook -- he was not born subject to the jurisdiction of the United States -- not born in its allegiance."

SCOTUS Majority decision.
