This current mess is 100% the fault of the NFL.

They have rules against personal messaging\advertising that they have clearly chosen to ignore.

Trump just brought matters to a head, good for him.

I've never been much of an NFL fan, butt if the NFL stands for disrespecting our country as they do now: fuck 'em, n' fuck 'em hard.

Hard to feel sorry for the billionaire owners, and millionaire anti American players.

The cheer leading media also needs to go away.

Two weeks ago less than six players knelt, yesterday, the majority of all players, now what do you think happened that changed the scene, and it is the NFL's fault?

The President managed to take the one thing Americans enjoyed together and turn it into divisive issue, that's making America great

Yesterday doesn't happen if Trump doesn't interject himself. There are no headlines about it today without Trump. So no, it isn't 100% on the NFL.

I disagree - they're taking a unified stand against Trump's idiocy.

Trump's rallies are ego-driven affairs. He doesn't care about the consequences of his words, clearly - he's playing to the crowd, and would rather have crowd-pleasing lines than anything constructive for the nation. Look at this whole thing that he created: this was becoming a non-issue, and fast. And now, the whole country is up in arms one way or the other, it's dominating the headlines, and we are further divided. I challenge anyone to show me what came out of Trump's intervention that was constructive and unifying.

I'm tired of people defending Trump for this BS. It's the opposite of what he said he would do - but who is surprised? This is someone who has always thrived on controversy, conflict & division, and he seeks to create more of each wherever he can.

No, I know - I was referring to the OP w/ that. It's ridiculous to say this is 100% on the NFL. I'd accept 50/50, but Trump stoked this fire in a big, big way.

And we'll have to disagree w/ "mindless players." Kaep gave up his career to take a stand for others. I have to admire that courage, regardless of how I feel about him or his protest.

He was going to unite people - he slammed Obama for dividing the nation more. He was going to do more to heal the wounds of racism - this does the opposite.

Oh, and he was going to make America great again...with JOBS. Do you know how many jobs & businesses are tied into this multi-billion dollar business he wants to boycott?

But when some NFL players exercise their right to freedom of expression, suddenly he's spewing right-wing vomit all over the place.

It's obvious that Trump loves Nazis and hates law-abiding citizens.

As I said it is 100% the fault of the NFL.

Every player who did this should have been benched and fined and the problem would have never got off the ground.
