Extreme Anti-Abortion “Heartbeat” Bill Passes Ohio State Legislature Because trump...

Did you support the decision to invade Iraq?

It was not my decision....I am retired military. My duty was to obey those who made the decision....like Congress. :) I felt compelled somehow to support my superiors. You are barking up the wrong tree. The military will always obey the constitution and those appointed above them that has sworn to defend that constitution from both foreign and "DOMESTIC" enemies. I honestly believe the radical left to be an enemy of that same constitution. That address your query? I would have no problem whatsoever in seeing millions of these thugs jailed for treason.

Doesn't matter, no brain equals no human.

So...those with "Alzheimers" are not classified as being human? FYI: Life is defined by its ability to consume and process energy into gestation...growth. Life is not defined by "quality". By your logic....simply because this life is not fully developed...it not human.....why not claim the same position once out of the womb...that child is still not fully developed mentally or physically, you could claim to have the right to murder that child because it still depends upon you for survival. There is no reason or logic behind the murder of unborn children...its fascism personified.

You have just declared "YOURSELF" superior to another form of life..that's not worthy to be classified as HUMAN. Where have we heard that fascist argument before.....jews are not human they have no basic rights of societal protection. Sounds most FEMI-NAZI like to me.

It is not human yet, people with Alzheimer's have brains but a diminished capacity to reason and remember.

The point...escapes the dumbed down liberal? The point is.....even you were at one time in the same state of gestation. Are you not worthy to live because you were at one time underdeveloped? :) Who gets to decide which "human life" is worthy enough to be called human? The answer? A fascist....just like the Nazi's did decided that some portions of society were not worthy of being called humans.

Science proves beyond doubt that human life begins at conception and will continue to develop and gestate...once conception is achieved unless that life is placed to death. Question? Why abort something that is not alive? Abortion means to terminate life. Why not simply allow that non life alone if its not alive and growing, just ignore it...there is no need to kill that which is not alive.

Liberals are evil idiots divorced from science...logic and reason. Regardless is you accept that "fact" of science or not....your attempt to rationalize away the murder of unborn children will not make the application of science go away. DNA proves beyond doubt that once conceived, a fetus has a distinct and personal DNA signature, different from either parent...regardless of any state of growth (gestation).

Biological life is defined by energy conversion and gestation. Clearly Even the MAYO CLINIC agrees, "By all the criteria of modern molecular biology....life is present from the point of conception".

If Roe v. Wade ever is challenged under the right circumstances....Science will prove that human life begins at conception and each individual child (fetus) is uniquely HUMAN with its own distinct DNA signature...that is like no other that has ever existed such as this example of human life and there will never be another human created exactly like that unique example of human life.....ENDANGERED so to speak.

Strange that US LAW protects gestating....unborn examples of animal life with threats of fine and or imprisonment (The endangered species act)...but defines unborn human life as not being an example of life within the species known as human. Strange indeed. Liberals care more about animal rights than human life. As said, the archives here are full of examples of LIBERAL IGNORANCE AND STUPIDITY.

"pshh lots of women vote trump."
That was the last time.
Let's see what happens the next time.

What I'll be interested in seeing:
will there be repercussions against the Republicans in the 2018 "mid-terms"?

And of course, it'll be interesting to see if AFTER President Trump has "made America great again" whether a voting plurality will think it an improvement.

I don't doubt Trump will think it's an improvement. But didn't he try to pass himself off as a populist?

None of them will disavow it. I wonder how this can be Constitutional, though.
it's not.

Measures similar to Ohio's "heartbeat bill," tacked on to unrelated legislation and hurried through both houses of the legislature Tuesday, were struck down by federal judges in other states as problematic and antithetical to well-established legal precedent pertaining to abortion.

The judges who ruled against Arkansas and North Dakota's laws were all appointed by Republicans, and the conservative-leaning U.S. Supreme Court also decided to leave the lower court's rulings in place and reinforce existing precedent.

Ohio Senate President Keith Faber said Tuesday that Ohio's laws may be able to survive in the courts due to the election of Republican Donald Trump and the fact that he will be able to appoint at least one conservative justice. The president-elect has said he would place an anti-abortion justice in the seat vacated by Justice Antonin Scalia's death in February.

U.S. Senate Republicans made the unprecedented move of refusing for nearly a year to hold conformation hearings for outgoing President Barack Obama's nominee, D.C. Circuit Judge Merrick Garland.

Republican state senators in Ohio inserted the "heartbeat" language into a bill revising state child abuse reporting laws. The language bans abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected, which could be as early as six weeks after conception, before a woman might find out she's pregnant.

Elections have consequences. :)

Oh well. Conservative women in Ohio would never dream of having abortions anyway. </sarcasm>

An Ohio bill that would ban abortion as soon as the fetus’ heartbeat can be detected passed the legislature on Tuesday night and is waiting on the governor’s desk. Fetal heartbeats are detectable around six weeks, which is well before many women even realize they’re pregnant. That means the bill would effectively ban abortion in the state of Ohio. The law’s backers say the election of Donald Trump—and the promise that he’ll appoint Supreme Court justices friendly to their cause—have empowered them to move forward on the extreme measure.

This bill never should have passed and I don't believe it has popular support.
