Just not the US. Also, Nigeria wasn't in the M.E. last time I checked, nor were the inhabitants involved in Western wars of aggression up (relative to them) there.
 
Also, its not a cycle. Its one particular group starting stuff, whether its in the Philippines, the Netherlands, or Nigeria.

Should we have bombed and invaded Saudi Arabia after 9-11? Why didn't we?

LOLZ at "Bush II." I didn't realize I was talking about Iraq when I was talking about Nigeria. Apparently relating the War on Terror to Iraq is somthing you share in common.

Personally, I don't really see Saudi as a shining paradise, either, but the al-Queda training camps were in the land of the Taliban, which we invaded. Of course, technically Iraq was a post-9/11 operation, as has every single bit of history that we have experienced since then. Even Bush only related Iraq to the War on Terror, and not to 9/11, as he accused it of being a "state sponsor of terror" and all that jazz.

So if 19 frenchmen and a spaniard train in Sweden and then blow up some buildings in the USA we should bomb Sweden? WTF, the 9-11 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia.

And provided safe sanctuary in Afghanistan by the Taliban because they were expelled from Saudi Arabia. If Sweden were to harbour such a terrorist organization, I suspect they would have gladly turned them over to the US following a 9/11 attack. The Taliban refused both UN and US demands that Bi laden be surrendered for prosecution.

No but Afghanistan has a strategic mountain pass through the Himilayas in which a critical oil pipeline from central Asia (read former Soviet Republics) to an ocean port is Pakistan. You don't hear a lot about it but it's critical to US strategic interest as a way of getting oil from Central Asia with out having to pass through the Persian Gulf. So Afghanistan is critical to US oil interest for this very reason.
