Explaining women in combat arms

I'm going to work on bringing yurt back into the fold eventually. Tom is a lost cause. He has proven in this thread he is beyond all hope of having any type of critical thinking skills or intelligence. There is literally no use trying to have a conversation with him, I should honestly just put him on ignore at this point. Anyone that shows that level of mental retardation I am just wasting my time with.

They are all on the frontline. I suppose it is too much for you to bother hearing the actual women soldiers on this. You really are a piece of work.

They are on the frontlines, every day, they are stating so, they are being killed and injured and they are fighting. These years-long occupations have already changed war. Their superiors agree with them. YOUR superiors agree with them.

To express doubts that women are physically capable of passing the tests, without them being diluted, that are demanded to be in a frontline infantry unit. There is actually only one person on here who has practical experience of what it takes and his testimony is totally dismissed as being that of a sexist and a liar. What exactly is your experience anyway? The nearest you will ever get to combat is shooting a few babies to protect the second amendment.

SR is not the only one on here who has that practical experience, I believe Billy does as well, if I am not mistaken. But that is irrelevant quite simply because others who do have this experience and knowledge, and far more of it than he has, have made evaluations and decisions. And he is not giving "testimony", he's a just a guy shooting his mouth off. YOU are assigning great gravitas to him because he is saying what you want to hear. Neither of you have any interest in listening to the women who are in Afghanistan and Iraq and are fighting there every week, next to men who are gaining career benefits for doing the same exact thing the women are doing and not getting those same benefits. Since one of the biggest benefits is promotions, this policy has the afffect of keeping military management dominated by men. Now, sexists love that outcome, but others don't, and now it's being addressed. Of course sexists, and there is no one here who doesn't know you are one, so don't put on any airs, are going to whine, and stomp their feet, and assign themselves expertise and gravitas. Lets just keep this simple, The have been numerous US servicemen that have heaped praise onto the fellow servicewomen after seeing them hold there own in combat.

There is no guarantee that the training requirement's would be lowered to allow women into the roles, New Zealand has allowed women into all roles including there Special forces and they haven't lowered the standard's. Hell I am hard pressed to find any actual info on training standard's being lowered to allow female entry (They may have initial lower requirements for basic, But the requirements go up depending on role being applied for and appear to be the same for both Male and Female). So if they can pass the same training as the blokes, Good on them let them in, They complain there isn't enough female member's, Well they can ask for a transfer to another unit or go back to there former role, Leave it simple as that. No need to make this issue such a cluster fuck when it so damn simple and straight forward.

That's what they said about female firefighters in the UK initially yet physical standards were relaxed nonetheless by the last Labour government after pressure from womens' campaign groups and that's exactly what will happen here as well.

so we know that there are no female infantryman because that job has been restricted. no female artilleryman because that job has been restricted. no female tankers because that job has been restricted.

how can women be doing the exact same job that men have? The whole issue is that they havent been allowed to do the exact same job? In fact this entire policy is to open up these MOS's to women who have never had or been able to do the job.

And yet, this fucking retard keeps saying and praising imaginary women and proclaiming that women are doing the exact same things as men.

You're using semantics. As the women themselves talk about in the article I linked, they are doing the same things the men they are working besides are doing, but they are being prevented from gaining the same benefits, because they are called something else. These tactics have been used before to keep women out of certain positions. This is nothing new, you're nothing special.

Thankfully people smarter and fairer than you, have evaluated the women's experiences and reached the complete opposite conclusion. It's done.

So there are female infantry? There are females that have gone through the infantry courses and are working beside the infantry as infantryman... they are just being called something else?

hhmmm.... I wonder... Do you consider it semantics if a woman is called a Nurse, even though she works beside a surgeon who is a male.. I mean.. why is she called a nurse, shouldnt she be called a surgeon?

I think if you bothered to read the articles, you could probably figure it out. But you are someone who is very attached to traditonal roles and you are highly resistant to change. That's got to be a problem for you now. First gays, now this. You are vehemently against both. But all you can do about either is complain on a message board. I imagine you will have to salute and say "yes sir sir" when told to stfu and work with who you're told to work with. But that's how it is.
