EXPERTS ARE PREDICTING AN ‘EXPLOSION’ OF INEXPENSIVE ELECTRIC CARS

Why did the market leave Edison's EV and move on to ICE?

Geez you too??

Is there such a thing as a intelligent conservatard who can comprehend very basic things?

Read above and understand the dynamic of for profit Oil and gas, and private gas stations scaling along side Vehicle mass production and an interconnecting set of roads and highways.

NOw think. Actually use your own brain and THINK. Think of waiting for gov't to build out an interconnected grid to supply electricity along with EV charging stations versus private OIl and Gas and gas station owners running it easily to fill the need with private ownership of those assets.

Do you read the above and struggle with it? Does the logic not make sense to you?

If there was an global end times event and all technology including the entirety of the electrical grid was wiped out, mankind rebuilding again and going back to gas or ethanol vehicles as things reemerged would far outpace the reemergence of Ev's.

At that time, gas was plentiful and cheap. We had no knowledge of pollution problems. Now that is not true.

No, gasoline wasn't yet. The reason battery cars failed was because electricity wasn't available many places and wasn't (and isn't today) portable. The other reason was that your average blacksmith or local mechanic could work on an ICE vehicle but couldn't fix your battery car (again, same problem today).

You are even more ignorant than QP!, ya dumb lizard.

Thanks MaCaw!

I appreciate your comments, however I do not always agree with them.

I am sure QP is an intelligent member, he relies upon facts, and is very well spoken here. He could be very much smarter than you or me, for all we know.

What hurts your theory is the fact that because you are a Conspiracy Theorist and do not rely upon facts, you should not be telling anyone how ignorant they are and should not be comparing or trying to measure other people's intelligence.

Your arrogance is palpable. My response is, fuck off.

Yes EXACTLY as i said. It was not about the ICE or the EV technology specifically but about the lack of infrastructure.

Congratulations on reading my arguments and understanding them.

Now on to Step 2 of your education.

Wide scale electric infrastructure has advance massively across most of the world. No, not perfect or everywhere but to a point where EV, along with advancements that come with scale production are increasingly becoming an option fo more and more and more people.

What you do NOT DO is what you push, and that is because something is not fully developed today or proven today (wishful thinking) then you do not build it.

That is NOT how any of the major advancements have been made. What came first the mass production of cars or connected roads, or mass amounts of gas stations to fuel them?

Do you understand that ONE PART HAS to follow the other? They do not all evolve in a vacuum simultaneously. The development and adoption of one can and does drive innovation and development in the other areas.

BUt as a conservatard all this is lost on you. You complain constantly about any and all advancement wanting to stay stuck in the past. MAGA.

Your arrogance is palpable. My response is, fuck off.

It is not arrogance to understand the basic DIFFERENCE between rolling out gas stations based on private industry profit motive and waiting for the government to create and manage a National electrical grid.

Anyone with a grade 6 education should be able to discern that without any arrogance involved.

That it is clear that conservaderps are completely confounded by the above speaks to who we are discussing these topics with.

The Democrat Party is a conspiracy.

WRONG. You are denying history again.
Now on to Step 2 of your education.
You cannot teach what you don't know.

He is not pushing that. Hallucination.
That is NOT how any of the major advancements have been made.
Since you have no idea how or why inventions happen and you have no idea how capitalism works, you cannot teach any of this.
What came first the mass production of cars or connected roads, or mass amounts of gas stations to fuel them?
Roads...thousands of years of roads. Gas stations came before the gasoline car did.
Do you understand that ONE PART HAS to follow the other?
Gasoline was sold to a lot of people before the gasoline car was even invented. It was used for stationary engines.
They do not all evolve in a vacuum simultaneously.
It is YOU arguing they did!
The development and adoption of one can and does drive innovation and development in the other areas.
But you deny the history of invention and the factors that cause invention.
BUt as a conservatard all this is lost on you.
No. He has a good understand of it. It is lost on YOU.
You complain constantly about any and all advancement wanting to stay stuck in the past.
EVs are not advancement.

There is no National electrical grid.

An interesting event took place recently that rather says it all about EVs.

Ford is laying off seven thousand eight hundred workers associated with the EV line and related software. Seems Ford has lost almost THREE BILLION DOLLARS on the EV craze. Ford is abandoning the EV and concentrating on building gasoline cars and trucks. They also announced recently a new V8 engine design that will produce over 500 hp naturally aspirated. It will be used in trucks and larger cars.

EXPERTS ARE PREDICTING AN ‘EV-PLOSION’ OF CHEAP, ELECTRIC CARS — HERE’S HOW LOW PRICES COULD GET

The EV market is booming, and there are a lot of exciting upcoming models. by Mila Dyson*/*May 18, 2023

In 2022, electric vehicle (EV) sales were on the rise but mostly remained popular for buyers with a large budget, with many consumers still finding them too expensive. Several of Tesla’s models were among the most popular EVs across the U.S., and Car and Driver reported it as the bestselling luxury auto brand.
Why 2023 is the year of the EV
Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), many EV buyers will now qualify for all or part of a $7,500 EV tax credit when they go for a new EV. And Tesla and other carmakers have lowered their prices.*
So, as the numbers of EV models available skyrocket and the price of EVs naturally goes down, when the tax credit is considered, many more EVs will soon enter the mainstream, in what Tech Crunch called the “EV-plosion.”
What’re some of the most exciting upcoming electric vehicles?
The EV market is booming, and there are a lot of exciting upcoming models. Many higher-priced EVs don’t qualify for the IRA tax credit — they need to have an MSRP of less than $55,000 unless they’re trucks, vans, or SUVs (which can be eligible at prices up to $80,000). But the growth of the lower-cost EV is electrifying.
One exciting new prospect is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV, which should be relatively affordable with a starting price close to $30,000. Once the $7,500 tax credit is factored in, it would come at a reasonable starting price of $22,500. This compact electric SUV will have an enormous range of 250 miles estimated between charges (or up to 300 miles with higher-priced options), so there is no need for any range anxiety.
The Fisker Ocean is a stylish SUV that its maker has released in Europe and expects to start delivering in the U.S. in June. The base model has an estimated range of 250 miles and a base purchase price of $37,499 — MAGA wets panties.

D'uh.

Again you speak on topics you know nothing about.

Let me educate you once again.

In a pre mass commercialization market and just building one of self sustained vehicle of course electric cars would make the most sense. Not many people can distill gasoline at home and access to it was very challenging.

However to scale in those early days, gasoline offered many advantages electric did not. You need a very robust FIRST to scale up, and even today with our very advanced grid, we know it needs many upgrades. Gasoline, once you have mass producers, seeking if for profit, is much easier to scale, into communities with much less infrastructure. And since that infrastructure is also profit driven (gas stations) you get private individuals to carry those early costs.

It is sad you keep trying to opine on topics you clearly have no clue about anything you speak to. Your base knowledge is about a zero and your opinions are at 10. In real life you must be a real treat, offering strong opinions on everything, especially things you know nothing about. Again very much like MTG. You would probably lecture a top brain surgeon about 'why you do not accept what the experts say' just before surgery based on something you read on the internet and did not comprehend. Sad.

Hilarious!

That you have ZERO articles to post that are not opinion columns from radical right zealots, just goes to show you know you are spreading fabricated BS.

If you could post actual articles from reputed automotive journals you would.

You are prolly correct, Jim Farley, the CEO of Ford Motors, the guy that was quoted in one of the articles in that right wing rag, must be an idiot and you are the king.
And Lordstown Motors Corp. (LMC) actually did not go tits up as in a different article, and the guy describing the actual weight of these vehicles must not have an accurate scale, plus the videos of these things spontaneously combusting is actually faked, as well as the body shops reporting the high costs and lack of parts available.

Next time, check your arrogance and denial at the door.

You should have stopped at "you are prolly correct..."

If you read Jim Farleys own words in his written articles, it is UNDENYABLE how bullish he is about the future of EV's and how Ford is going to play a key and dominant role in that market.
I doubt you can find a single article IN HIS OWN WORDS where he says different as the only negatives he talks about are the costs and dangers of not doing the transition right.

If you ONLY read derp opinion columnists, in doubly derp clown publications, selecting out singular sentences from Farley and then telling you their spin on it, then as you did, you might believe falsehoods and be too dumb to realize it.

Make no mistake, if Jim Farley was crapping on EV's it would be in all the respected Automotive Journalist magazine and media.

You can rail against this all you want but when the ONLY place you can find something negative to post is the OPINION pages of derp right media, and it appears NO PLACE ELSE, and you are so accepting of it that you run to post elsew2hgere as proof, you are living proof of the gullibility and stupidity that exists in abundance on the right. The echo chamber effect in full display.
