Expanded Background Checks Killed

Here is a question for the ones in favor of the background checks: How many times have they stopped felons from lying on the purchase forms when attempting to buy firearms? And how many of those felons were prosecuted?


Also, which of the recent high profile shootings would have been stopped with these "New & Improved" background checks?

This isnt about suspecting people. Where is one of the few places he can possibly hide? Inside someone's house. That person is almost definitely not willing. They're either dead or a hostage. You should try and use your head a little.

They and the buyer would have to go to an FFL and then have the FFL run the background check. Which is quite pointless... because if it were law, a criminal would simply find someone who is willing to sell without doing so (AKA... breaking the law). I see it as a business opportunity, run a business that does background checks online for private sellers. You need to think outside the box. There are ways that it wouldn't inconvenience anyone, though what is a little inconvenience if it keeps a nut from getting a gun!

yes, fucktard, it IS a violation. police need a warrant to enter a home, unless exigent circumstances exist. good luck getting a judge to agree that a manhunt for ONE SINGLE INDIVIDUAL is an exigent circumstance to go door to door without a warrant. Using your idiotic stance of 'potentially saving one life' is carte blanche for police to search anyones home at any time.

what's a little inconvenience, having checkpoints scattered throughout the country if it keeps illegal immigrants out of our nation?
