Hardly.

Two words; Due process.

Let's step back and take a breath, Rune. You and I have agreed on hundreds of issues and have gotten along very well, I thought. I have a very different opinion on this issue than you, obviously. I was not rude to you on the outset. You somehow think I should accept your rudeness, however. I won't. I hope we can rise above that.

You seem to be concerned about "due process". In the case of an American that has renounced his citizenship, joined forces sworn to kill Americans and destroy American assets, in other words become an enemy of the United States, our Supreme Court has ruled that they have no expectations of any due process or any other rights that might be afforded to the average American. Some seem to be confused about all this. I am not.

If you continue to insult me and/or my intelligence on this subject I will have my fun with you but in all seriousness I will pretty much put you in the same boat with the very insane and in great need of professional counseling, blackascoal. He has some of you fooled. Not me.

According to Feinstein, she is complicit in war crimes, or she is lying.

NYU student Josh Begley is tweeting every reported U.S. drone strike since 2002, and the feed highlights a disturbing tactic employed by the U.S. that is widely considered a war crime. Known as the "double tap," the tactic involves bombing a target multiple times in relatively quick succession, meaning that the second strike often hits first responders.
A 2007 report by the Homeland Security Institute called double taps a "favorite tactic of Hamas" and the FBI considers it a tactic employed by terrorists.
UN special rapporteur on extrajudicial killings Christof Heyns said that if there are "secondary drone strikes on rescuers who are helping (the injured) after an initial drone attack, those further attacks are a war crime."
The U.S. refuses to discuss the merits of its overtly covert drone program, but the reports featured on @dronestream clearly document that U.S. hellfire missiles have intentionally targeted funerals and civilian rescuers.

More of the same;

[h=1]Study: U.S. Double Tap Drone Attacks Kill 49 People For Every Known Terrorist In Pakistan[/h] A new report shows that only one in 50 people who fall victim to America’s deadly drone strikes in Pakistan are terrorists, while the rest are innocent civilians.

The authoritative joint study, by Stanford and New York Universities, concludes that men, women and children are being terrorized by the unmanned attacks 24 hours-a-day.

The authors lay much of the blame on the use of the “double-tap” method, when one drone fires a missile, followed by a second drone, which fires after rescuers try to drag victims from the rubble.

One aid agency said they had a six-hour delay before going to the scene.

Many claim these drone attacks ruin any chance at a normal way of life for people of the Middle East region.

“This shows that drone strikes go much further than simply killing innocent civilians,” said Clive Stafford Smith, director of the charity Reprive, which helped interview people for the report. “An entire region is being terrorised by the constant threat of death from the skies.”
There have been at least 345 strikes in Pakistan’s tribal areas near the border with Afghanistan in the past eight years.

“These strikes are becoming much more common,” Mirza Shahzad Akbar, a Pakistani lawyer who represents victims of drone strikes, told The Independent.

“In the past it used to be a one-off, every now and then. Now almost every other attack is a double tap. There is no justification for it.”
Research also shows the ramifications are much deeper than simply the fatalities, as the attacks cause deep psychological trauma on the survivors.

Pakistan wants the drone strikes to stop, or at the very least, control their own drone strikes – something the U.S. is refusing.

Reapers and Predators are now active over the skies of Somalia and Yemen as well as Pakistan and – less covertly – Afghanistan.

Many people are calling for the United States to reassess its drone strike program, but for now, it seems very unlikely the Obama Administration will oblige.

I hardly equate the babblings of a limey nincompoop commentator with the very serious testimony as delivered yesterday in the chambers of the United States Senate. OK with you? Never mind.

In the interests of accuracy, Glen Greenwald is not a limey he is a septic (tank) like you!!

Glenn Greenwald is a columnist on civil liberties and US national security issues for the Guardian. A former constitutional lawyer, he was until 2012 a contributing writer at Salon. He is the author of How Would a Patriot Act? (May 2006), a critique of the Bush administration's use of executive power; A Tragic Legacy (June, 2007), which examines the Bush legacy; and With Liberty and Justice For Some: How the Law Is Used to Destroy Equality and Protect the Powerful.

You opened the door, by insulting BAC, the most manly and gentlemanly man on this whole forum.

Game on.

You just ran into a brick wall head first. I suggest you slink home.

Bullshit begets bullshit. Did you listen to or read the testimony? All else is opinion and/or speculation. None of it has any bearing on the truth.

.

Let's start right here.

Show evidence that Al Awaki's 16 year old son "renounced his citizenship, joined forces sworn to kill Americans and destroy American assets, in other words become an enemy of the United States".

BAC? Manly? Gentlemanly? Hardly. He and his brother/sister shit is fake from the word go. His racial being and subsequent deep seated complexes about his racial make-up are at least worthy of some medicinal/psychiatric intervention. He feels like a "nigger" and just dares someone to call him that. He bleeds and sweats inferiority. Insanity from the beginning with him. On the other hand, he feels quite comfortable insulting anyone he chooses and then playing the race card. Fuck him. Really. I know what I'm talking about.

That very subject was brought up in the testimony. I suggest you read the transcripts so that you don't have to rely on anything I might misinterpret and say about it. I will say this. Most of it remains classified.

I never understand why you feel the need to fight other people's battles so much? You have done this with Poet, Darla, Rootbeer and now BAC, claiming each time that they are your best mates. You are a curious fellow indeed.

I have defended Poet and Darla and there was a time that I defended BAC. I don't know Rootbeer. I prefer Dos Equis. In the cases of Poet and Darla I am still proud of my defenses for them and I would do it again. In the case of BAC, he thinks I am just another "nigger", like him.

I was talking about Rune not you. He seems to have taken it upon himself to defend all and sundry, notwithstanding that they are all big enough and ugly enough to defend themselves without his intervention. I didn't know that you were black must have missed that one somewhere.

I am not defending BAC, fool, I am defending the Constitutional rights of all Americans, something a crown loyalist such as yourself;
1. Knows nothing about, whatsoever
2. Has NO business commenting on.

So whose words are these?

You are a sick fuck.

I know full well who you were talking to but I am a defender of all mentioned, other than Rootbeer, myself and I felt compelled to respond. Black? What makes you think that? BAC made the very same mistake.

Can't use the quote feature, too frutstrating to continue.
Tom, Gatorpig opened the door to insults. That doesn't mean I am defending BAC, but I would.

Attorney General Eric Holder specifically endorsed the constitutionality of targeted killings of Americans, saying they could be justified if government officials determine the target poses “an imminent threat of violent attack.”

Again, show how a 16 year old child was an imminent threat of violent attack.
This was murder, in cold blood, and you support it.

Likely because you use the n word, something generally reserved for blacks or racists.
