I cannot understand Tim Scott or anyone with prospects wanting to be Trump's VP, rather than sitting out 4 years and then running.

Should Trump win, it is assured he will push his VP worse than he did Pence to lead the illegal stuff, and if he refuses, then like Pence, he will be exiled in the party and career will be over. If he does Trump's bidding, then like Meddows and all those now facing charges that VP will be right in the legal crosshairs too as soon as Trump's term ends.

Self interested people will not usually sacrifice themselves for the cause.

If i was aligned with Trump's views and wanted them enacted i would put up other peoples name to sere him and do it. I want the benefits but do not want to pay the inevitable MIke Pence cost, of being the one Trump will demand do the criminality and risk jail, or driven from the party and ruined in conservative circles.

This where i say the Indiana Jones line of 'very dangerous... you go first'.
