Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of murdering George Floyd, was stabbed by another inmate and seriously injured Friday at a federal prison in Arizona, a person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press.

The attack happened at the Federal Correctional Institution, Tucson, a medium-security prison that has been plagued by security lapses and staffing shortages. The person was not authorized to publicly discuss details of the attack and spoke to the AP on the condition of anonymity.

The Bureau of Prisons confirmed that an incarcerated person was assaulted at FCI Tucson at around 12:30 p.m. local time Friday. In a statement, the agency said responding employees contained the incident and performed “life-saving measures” before the inmate, who it did not name, was taken to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.

Uh-oh, watch for TDAK to throw his binky down and have a temper tantrum.

The gover-media censored the key fact that floyd was saying "I can't breathe," BEFORE he was put on the ground. That's why chauvin put him there as per regs. When a suspect says "I can't breathe," that means he's dying of a drug OD and when he gets to where he truly cannot breathe, he will go berzerk and injure himself or others. Asphyxiation is the worst of all deaths. That's why waterboarding is so effective as torture. So rules say you put him on the ground and hold him there with your knee. Both legally and ethically chauvin did the right thing.

Tough break for the deplorable murderer.
He wasn't sentenced to a stabbing.

That's why it's best to make a better effort
at avoiding getting your assed tossed into prison.

Too bad. Even though he’s been convicted and is serving his time, he doesn’t deserve to be assaulted. Predictable though.

Perhaps the state is not doing its job to protect him. Or maybe that’s not possible beyond solitary.

As the OP stated, it's both a Federal prison and it was medium security. The offender, no doubt, will be transfered to a higher security prison with additional sentencing.

Since it's a federal prison, it seems there might be enough ex-cops, ex-lawyers and other celebrities who can be put in their own wing of at least one Federal prison for their own protection. That said, for all I know, the prison in Tucson was exactly that prison. Nothing is perfect. No doubt the investigation will reveal more details.

Yes he should and get a big payout

What about all the girls King Rama-Lama-Ding-Dong raped? Should they get a big payout too?

How's the plan to depose King Rama coming along? Will he be assassinated or simply booted out of the country?

IMO, a public execution is a much, much better way to handle monarchs. "Off with his head!"

This ^^^^ coming from Mr. Howcaniexpressthemostshitheadedopinionpossible?

Do you hate all cops or just the ones who popular opinion and your own innate propensity to virtue signal tells you you're supposed to?
