Everyone Excited to hear that Brandon finally will sanction Russian Oil?

Lol, no COVID did that.

It was fine until 1/20/2021

The bolded - it's really something.

With the exception of Chernobyl, all of the nuclear power plants in Ukraine are of the VVER pressurized water reactor type. These have a containment building, unlike Fukushima which had its reactors in what amounted to big tin sheds. Those containments were strengthened after the Chernobyl accident. The worst that could happen with one of these reactors lies somewhere between Three Mile Island and Fukushima as an accident if one were to meltdown or be damaged. That is, they present little threat to the public at large, and would require an extensive clean up (likely cheaper than the Deepwater Horizon oil spill BTW).
It isn't like Chernobyl where you had a block of graphite the size of an apartment building that burned, exploded, and spread really, really nasty radioisotopes everywhere. In the short term, even if one or more did, the threat from the Russian invasion of being killed, injured, or seriously hurt by privation and exposure to the weather are far greater than from the meltdown of a pressurized water reactor.

Why do you think so, Matt? Are you able to dumb it down enough for me to understand?

Because this, you fuckin' derpwad!

"The biggest winner appears to be Trump, who refused to deliberately cut American oil production, but was still able to broker the final deal. His phone call with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, followed by a three-way conference call with Russian President Vladimir Putin and King Salman of Saudi Arabia, came up with the proposal that resolved the Latin American nation’s objections to the agreement."

It's a stupid, token call.

1) Russian imports account for less than 5% of all US oil imports.
https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_move_impcus_a2_nus_ep00_im0_mbbl_m.htm
So it is nothing but a token gesture.

2) Markets will overreact anyway and sent oil prices higher.
Which it was - Brent was over 5% higher today.

This causes gasoline prices to rise for Americans.
Plus, it raises inflation even more.

3) I TOTALLY disagree with economic sanctions.
I disagree with it for Iran, Cuba, North Korea and for Russia.

Only fools believe that it leads to 'regime change'...which is why they do it.
Did it work in Cuba? No.
Iran? No.
North Korea? Nope.
And it will not work in Russia as most Russians blame the West/NATO for the Ukraine war...not Putin.

(about 2/3 down the page)

The sanctions will NOT overthrow Putin.
They will just give him an excuse to blame the hardships on someone else.

And they will make innocent Russians and Americans suffer for nothing.

They are irrational and useless.

It's a bit of a hail mary.

But you have to go for it. What is going on right now is a great evil. I wouldn't want to be the guy saying, "we didn't try everything we could to stop it."

It's not useless. Putin will only be toppled from within. This, w/ the sanctions, at least have a chance of working.

I sure as hell dont want to pay more for gas for some virtue signaling that isnt going to stop Putin in Ukraine

Boycots are fine, but this is a fungible product that effect ALL prices (so it's not just more for gas)
during a shortage.

Putin is in a major war -what chance sanctions change his behavior???? NONE

Oh and here comes redneck NASCAR fan rearing his HILLBILLY HEAD!

Look Hillbilly, shouldn't you be out cornholing some canoer somewhere?

Is that a thing? How is that done, brah? Sounds like you're an expert.
