No one would like to see Trump serve out his time in prison, more than me. But i see no way they make him submit to a prison. Understand the SS has powers to compel other law agencies to get out of the way, so they can do their job. Just imagine all the demands the SS would put on a Warden and prison to ensure safety to the level they are REQUIRED to provide an ex POTUS.

Trump almost certainly, will end up confined to house arrest at Mara Lago or whichever property he decides to call his 'primary residence' and maybe with an ankle bracelet to monitor his movements, but even that the SS may object to, as a security risk. The only hope is that they do not make a complete joke of it by allowing him to use all of Mara Lago, as his confinement space. He should have to designate a building or two only so he cannot just spend his last years golfing non stop, and tell us later, that was the best thing that happened to him, in being forced out of the rat race, and being able to non stop golf.

Interesting point, if Trump is found guilty, what happens to him

Being an exPresident, can’t see him doing real time, not even in a club med low security facility. It would have to be something like you mentioned, confined to MaraLago, with specific restrictions, although I’m sure he would test his boundaries daily

In reality, he won’t go anywhere, with his army of attorneys, a political party, and major news network defending him, he will appeal, delay, and postpone any final decision long after his life span

Because secret service overrules prison policy meaning they would dictate Trumps schedule and Trump wouldn’t be allowing to eat prison food due to possible poisoning so he would have to have food especially prepared for him.

He could never be handcuffed and they would have to massively increase his security protection due to the threats in prison.

He would also need his own doctors, essentially it would be a nightmare for prison officials

He was repeatedly asked nicely to turn over America's secret documents to the government, and he repeatedly refused.

He then ignored a lawful subpoena and tried to hide the documents even from his own attorneys.

He could have easily avoided indictment by returning America's secret documents to the government when asked.

A lot of Trump's problems distills down to his greed and immaturity. If it may profit him, it is right. All the norms of a presidency are gone. The rules that hemmed in bad presidents were ignored by Donald. He does what he wants and defies you to stop him.
