Rush was the master navigator of gaslighting.

He would accuse the Democrats of what the Republicans were, in fact, doing.

His career effort was the single most important effect in destroying "facts" in American politics and culture.

Give me the names of those slaves that gave America its Constitution and Declaration of Independence. You know, the two scripts that formed the base for our country as a whole.

The Constitution was based on the philosophy of Locke, who stressed natural rights and consent of the governed. Also Montesquieu who added the concept of separation of powers and separate branches.
They also learned from the failures of the Articles of Confederation, which they were involved in.
They picked up ideas from Magna Carta concerning a limited government and protections of individual rights. and preventing tyranny.
They were smart enough to provide for changing their mistakes with an amendment process.
The slaves were not allowed in the process. I am sure they would have offered poignant opinions.
Franklin was involved with the Iroquois nation and admired their governing concepts. He used them in his Constitutional arguments.
