Euchre - British Version

I know how to play Euchre, but I wanted to play the British version with a Joker (the benny) and need to know exactly how this card works.

Like if you play the Joker, do you take the trick no matter what is trump or whatever other cards are on the table? Anyone know?

I've never played Euchre with a Joker. What an interesting idea. That would change the whole dynamic when bidding...
