EU referendum: UK 'must not delay leaving'

Funny how so many Americans bang on about freedom for themselves yet not for others.

it's because they aren't really about freedom. they talk a good game, but they are all about the statism. do not let them fool you. personally, I applaud the brits for their desire to be their own independent nation.

The referendum should've been more specific. "Should the UK remain within the European Union"? That is incredibly vague. The referendum was designed such that it's only clear what to do if it's rejected. But it was accepted. And what does that mean? Trigger article 50? Initiate informal negotiations? Go through some vague process that will maybe lead to Brexit eventually? Every idiot who voted leave had a different interpretation of what that meant.

It should've been "Should we trigger Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty"? That's very fucking clear. And it would've been rejected.

The FTSE 100 has closed the day 199 points, or 3.2%, lower at 6,137 following the UK's vote to leave the European Union.

The UK blue-chip index recovered after plunging as low as 5,806 at the open, bolstered by pledges from the Bank of England, the European Central Bank and the US Federal Reserve to bolster liquidity.

Unlike the FTSE 250, which closed 7.2% lower, it was helped by its bulk of overseas earnings, as the pound fell 8.5% against the dollar to $1.361.

52% of the people in 2 out of the 4 consituent nations at this one time during an emotional migrant crisis do not have the right to make this huge decision that will effect Britain for centuries. The vote should be annulled. It's illegitimate because a majority of the constituent nations didn't agree. England does not have the right to boss the rest of the UK around.

Not going to happen. The people have spoken, there are no hanging chads here!

The pro-Brexit government that succeeds Cameron is going to eat itself and fall before ever triggering article 50, then the people are going to elect a new government that kills this once and for all.

Wales voted for Brexit as well, don't lie! The working classes of Wales and the North of England voted for leaving, shouldn't a good socialist like you respect their decision? We get our fishing industry back, we get our legislature back, we get our sovereignty back, we get our 2000 watt vacuum cleaners back!!

Hours after the UK voted to leave the European Union, "What is the EU?" became the second top UK Google search on the issue.

The third most searched question on the EU was "Which countries are in the EU?", followed by "What will happen now we've left the EU?".

Completing the top five was the search "How many countries are in the EU?".

I really can't understand why some rural backwater that's 100% white is so afraid of immigration. The places that get no immigrants are always the most anti-immigrant! It's absurd. You'd think London would be the one who would mind, because they're the ones who are actually going to be fucking effected by it. But no, they're the most pro-immigrant part of the country. So why do these rural backwaters give such a huge shit? No one is going to flee from another country and go to some shitty rural backwater with no opportunities to try and pull themselves up from their bootstraps.
