Equity is now racist?

Since hurricanes have black clouds, this could be the basis for giving aid to black communities first.

My God, what have we come to in this country?

What would the left say if Trump said that we must give aid to white communities first because they lost more in the hurricane?

These half wits who defend the racism of VP Harris need an abundance of help.

The NBA actually did play a better game sixty-odd years ago than the asphalt playground shit that they play now, so the point wouldn't be invalid.

I have to agree. I haven't watched the NBA for more than a decade but I watched the finals this year and I was shocked by how shitty the performances were. It was essentially a 3 point shooting contest. What a waste of fucking time.

Here's one for you. What if Trump came out and said we need equity in the NBA? Would your initial response still be equity is a good thing and he's correct? Because to many equity means proportional representation and right now the NBA is far from equity in that regard.

One might think Trump was cynically using the term in that scenario however equity is equity right?

I would be confused and try to figure out what he meant by the statement. Depends on his words.

It appears so.

The left can not bring themselves to admit the truth...we have a racist as VP and a senile old loon as president.

Definitely true of the Kamal and make no mistake the old loon is a racist as well and always has even.

If there was equity in the NBA, there would be 13% Blacks and 87% Whites.

The loons on the left want equity but not in the NBA.

It's exactly what I described. Equity usually means proportional representation and there are areas in this country where blacks are not proportionally represented, thus the call for equity. However the NBA is far from proportionally represented. In this case whites (and Hispanics) are far under represented. So it would be a different variant on the call for equity but a call for equity nonetheless.

They want equity only when it's in their favor. Equity for me not for thee

If that was what he intended, I would say that Basketball is not the place for that type of equity and that short white guys are not a historically underrepresented class so any benefits would be outweighed by the harmful affects of racism.

I would disagree with the word “usually”. I also do not believe all areas of life would benefit from equity.

so what you are saying is that black people need to have a greater amount of assistance than white people because by getting more they are getting "equal".........

Not in all circumstances, but sometimes, due to historical discrimination. For example, generational poverty is much more prevalent due to cultural damage and lack of education generation ago.
