I have no idea how she meant it and have said so previously. I stated that, in the situation in which she used it, it is rational and reasonable to assume a racist meaning. If Barack Obama were white, then your evolved definition would be a reasonable one... but he is not.

and I really could give a flying fuck what you think "yellowdog democrat" means. I know how I mean it and that is really all that is important. I am not a congressman speaking on the record. I am not a congressman laying out what I see as the only way to beat the other party. I have no reason to apologize or retract my self identification. see the difference?

I claimed I did not believe her. I never claimed I KNEW what she meant. I claimed that I believed that she meant it in a racist manner, and if she didn't that it was, nonetheless, reasonable and rational to take it in that way.

Again... I am not retracting my claim to be a yellowdog democrat. I have stated exactly what that means to me... and clearly, there are some people like you and your close friend southerman who chose to believe that I mean it in a racist manner. Unlike the congresswoman, I really don't CARE what you think and have no reason to quit using that term simply because it makes YOU think that I am a racist. She DOES care that her phrase was taken in that manner... or so it would seem.

see the difference? It really isn't all that tough.

I never claimed anyone who didn't think so was an idiot. I said that I believed that she meant it in a racist manner, though whether she meant it that way or not, it was assinine for anyone to take umbrage when anyone else made the logical and rational assumption that she did.

if YOU want to think that I am a racist because of my identification as a yellowdog, that is fine. I know how I mean it, and I know that I don't really care one iota what you think... that is how I am different than the congresswoman.... she DOES care what people think and she realizes that, whether she meant it racially or not, many people have reasonably concluded that she did, so she has retracted it and apologized for it. wise move.

and I might suggest that you have overused the term intellectual dishonesty to the point where it has become kind of a joke. just food for thought, clown.

I'm curious how you make that transition, hating live folks but then respecting and admiring them after they're dead. Is there something other than their physical state that causes you to react this way? Maybe it's part of your deep Christian faith. *shrug*
