Step 1 would be to begin with telling the rest of the world that they no longer support them as a government and ask the rest of the world to start pressuring Hamas into letting them go. Since they are Muslim and may distrust the US I would start with Muslim governments nearby, Jordan, Egypt, etc.

However in the end it will likely take some folks that are willing to put themselves at risk. Do you think that regular citizens could fight a war against the largest and best equipped fighting force on the planet and win? It's been done before...

IMHO inaction leaves them in more danger than action. Some folks live in interesting times, I wouldn't wish these choices on anyone but those are the choices they have. Every one of us have to live in the reality that we are in.

I think the US is poised to help them, as soon as they asked, though as I said I doubt they trust us enough. I think Jordan would help, I think Egypt would help, and the pressure would not have to come from the people. No matter what though, taking action is the first step.
