END OF AMERICAN ARISTOCRACY

To an extent. I would argue that billionaires can still be very compassionate through charity while retaining their fortunes. Bill Gates has been very generous in his charitable giving, for example. The problem with Bloomberg is that he wants to use government to supposedly be compassionate. He seems to think it's compassionate to give other people's money to the less fortunate.

You got the point I was making. People that do it out of compassion simply do it, don't demand others are forced to do it, and don't take credit when someone else's money is being used. That's not Bloomberg. To listen to him, you'd think he had given away his entire fortune.

What is stopping all these leftist millionaires and billionaires from checking that box that allows them to send additional taxes if they actually believe we have a revenue problem?

Repubs like to be subservient to the wealthy. They are shocked that we all aren't that way. God made them rich. Fortunately for rightys, the wealthy believe that too. That is why they accept bad leaders of countries. God chose them too. Putin and Kim were chose by god as much as trump was.

It's not just republicans. It' those who want moderate, blue dog, dino, conservative dems as well.

As opposed to Democrats, who often vote for wealthy individuals that use the state to throw a few bones their way? Again, if Bloomberg gets the nomination, all the criticism of Trump being a billionaire old white guy will seem rather hypocritical.

You have that backwards. Bloomberg is not getting the nomination. Trump will.

Bloomberg isn't even a democrat.........but you don't hear evince talking about that.

He's a life long republican who supports lifelong republican policies.

Why the fuck would we vote for him? Might as well keep dump.

It's hard to say. Bloomberg has the money to buy the nomination. He has something like 30 times Trump's wealth. He's also managed to buy several local elections.

For example, Bloomberg bankrolled a huge chunk of Virginia's legislative candidates in order to steamroll anti-gun legislation there. He's done it in other states as well.

If you were honest, you'd mention that both parties have primarily been run by rich white men and corporations for decades.

My family has worked very hard for our wealth. Nobody is entitled to it besides ourselves and those we CHOOSE to give it to. If you want something, go work for it. Have some pride, stop begging for it.

yes, there is no doubt your family worked harder than anyone else ever did. The rest of us have been lazing around while you special hard workers accomplished so much.
