Emmett Till / Trayvon Martin - An Awakening to Racist Evil in America

I've always wondered what would happen if women started arming themselves and "standing their ground". I'd kinda like to see it. You cowards have no idea how many times a week a woman is in a position where she could claim she was "reasonably fearful". Just imagine all across the country, every time some dickwad yells out "Looking good baby wanna suck my dick" he got shot right in his stupid face?

Oh man, talk about a freaking revolution.

But the fact is, Stand Your Ground is for white men. Everyone knows it. And that's how it's applied. Now, was it meant to be applied that way? Well, I think so. But it's definitely how it's applied.

It appears that I am not alone ...

Emmet Till was mentioned by Jesse Jackson months ago...possibly a year ago...so you certainly are not alone....

how?

do you now not even want people to remember the kid was someones child?

You know why they did it. Because te more current pictures of Trayvon present him as the wannabe thug he was. So you and BAC craft a lie.

BTW if the parents cared so much about their kid why wasn't he living with them? Why were they divorced? Dot they know how hard divorce is on a kid?
You are a liar. You should be ashamed

Guess ya didn't read my response, BAC.

Did you miss where I said I had a much bigger problem w/ the above verdict?

Or do you just want to have a conversation with yourself, as some on here seem to have advocated for the board?

Look just agree with him and call everyone a racist an you will e allowed back in the club.

I have to admit I do enjoy when a leftist gets the treatment we et subjected to for daring to disagree with the Holy Trinity of "Racism, Sexism and Abortionism".

Having fun yet?

Here is Eugene Robinson, I'm sure you all know who he is. LISTEN:

"George Zimmerman’s acquittal was set in motion on Feb. 26, 2012, before Martin’s body was cold. When Sanford, Fla., police arrived on the scene, they encountered a grown man who acknowledged killing an unarmed 17-year-old boy. They did not arrest the man or test him for drug or alcohol use. They conducted a less-than-energetic search for forensic evidence. They hardly bothered to look for witnesses."

Full piece

He never had a chance...

With all due respect .. and in the hopes that you'll respond to this .. I'll say this again, racist/bad/improper/you name it jury decisions are no defense for racism. What you reveal is an inability to critically think this through beyond the jury decision. The 'group' that you are having problems with are people who have that ability.

Your use of the technicalities of the decision is analogous to those who did the same thing in the acquittal of those who murdered Emmett Till .. a comparison you want to reject.

I'll say this again .. in the same state with the same 'stand your ground' laws, a black woman with no criminal record got 20 years for firing a gun in the air. It's not about the law, it's about the application of the law .. and Florida has a long ass nasty fucking history of racist application of the law.

As a person of conscience .. not ideology .. how do you miss this truth?

How do you miss the inhumanity of this?

Back in Till's day, the jury sat in court drinking beer and whiskey during the trial...racist was the norm, not the exception....their was no critical thinking
in Till's trial.....his 'trial' was a complete farce...a juror would vote whatever way he was told to vote for a free drink.,...to compare these two trials is just as much a farce, so it seems its your inability to logically weigh the issues is whats lacking.

The Fla. trial was not a stand your ground issue, its was common self defense while being attacked....the eye witness accounts, along with
Zimmermans account all compliment the physical evidence. You can't just make up your own scenario to agree with you preconceived conclusions.....

And another in Florida

my suggestion would be to aim for the dick

How hard is it for you to understand that this is not about the jury?
The prosecution is as corrupt as the police force and the Judge, and they all get their paychecks from the same account.

My God Man! Open your blind eyes!

Really ? Everyone is wrong but you....the whole world was against Martin ?....Martins lawyers, the judge, the cops.....and I guess even the weather that night.
But not the jury, huh ? How about all the witnesses ?....

Thats an awesome evaluation......

Or do you just want to have a conversation with yourself, as some on here seem to have advocated for the board?

I'm asking for a conversation with you .. which it appears that you don't really want to have. There is no 'group think' or 'some' in this conversation, it's just you and I.

You said that 'others' implied that I was the only authority on black history .. but there are no others in this conversation.

You have a problem with the above verdict, but you fail to recognize the implications to the one you don't have a problem with.

Florida's system of Just Us is racist .. a long ass history of that.

If it's not a conversation that you really want to have, you should stop complaining about it.

and here it is.

blacks just lie to you about their feelings because they are evil huh?

they really aren't upset that its open season on black children now they are just lying to make you feel bad.

bask in the glory of the republican base

republicans : why are you mad black people?

black people: because we fear for our childrens lives.

republicans: you lying evil person who is only trying to make me feel bad.

And supposedly rational people give you 'thanks' for these posts......Its unbelievable.....and totally laughable....open season ? Republicans ?....do you think
Paula Dean had something to do with this too ?

Consider this a PSA and know that you can save yourself the wasted keystrokes you spend talking to me on this issue. I clearly see this for exactly what it is and know exactly where you're coming from.

WTF?

Florida man pleads not guilty to shooting teen to death over loud music

nc_davismom1128_500kmsnbc2_121128.vembedlarge456.jpg

A Florida gun collector has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge alleging that he opened fire on a car full of unarmed teenagers, killing one, in an altercation that police say stemmed from loud music.

Michael David Dunn, 45, acted "as any responsible firearms owner would have," his lawyer said of the Friday evening incident at a gas station outside a convenience store in Jacksonville, Fla.

Dunn and his girlfriend were in Jacksonville for his son's wedding when they pulled up in their car next to the teens. Police allege that while the girlfriend was in the store, Dunn told Jordan Russell Davis, 17, and his three friends to turn down their music.

"It was loud," Jacksonville homicide Lt. Rob Schoonover said of the teens' music. "They admitted that. That's not a reason for someone to open fire."

After an exchange of words, Dunn began shooting with a handgun, Schoonover said.
"Nobody else in that vehicle was struck; it was just our victim [Davis], which was lucky because the vehicle was shot eight or nine times," Schoonover said.

Davis was in the back seat and was struck twice, reported The Orlando Sentinel.
