Elon Musk fires Twitter lawyer Jim Baker, who was involved in censoring Hunter Biden laptop and Russia probe



Elon Musk said that Twitter's former Deputy General Counsel James Baker was "exited" from the company on Tuesday after revelations about his role in the platform's handling of the Hunter Biden laptop story.

Journalist Matt Taibbi published internal communications over the weekend that took place among Twitter's top brass in October 2020 about how to deal with the New York Post's publication of materials on Hunter Biden's laptop.
Baker was involved in discussions about whether the laptop falls under Twitter's "hacked materials" policy.

"I support the conclusion that we need more facts to assess whether the materials were hacked," Baker wrote in one email chain. "At this stage, however, it's reasonable for us to assume that they may have been and that caution is warranted."

Baker was responding to a Twitter executive who was wondering whether they could "truthfully claim" that the laptop story was "part of the policy."......

Taibbi said Tuesday that he and another journalist, Bari Weiss, were dealing "with obstacles to new searches" when Weiss discovered that Baker was responsible for releasing the files over the weekend.

"The news that Baker was reviewing the 'Twitter files' surprised everyone involved, to say the least," Taibbi tweeted.

Musk tweeted later on Tuesday that Baker's explanation for his involvement was "unconvincing.".....

So James Baker the former General Council of the FBI that was fired for his part in the "Russian Collusion Scandal" ended up as a top lawyer at Twitter. Somehow he survived the initial firings at Twitter. He has been busy SCRUBBING the files that Musk released to Taibbi and Bari Weiss. They discovered that Baker was scrubbing the files to hide the FBI's involvement. Even the New York Post journalist Miranda Devine knew not everything was being released and said so on Tucker before they discovered what Baker had done. . So Musk "exited" Baker from Twitter. THAT is the REASON for the delays in the second release of emails to the public. They are going back and trying to find what Baker was trying to scrub and hide from the public.

Stories of The Hunter Biden laptop were never censored.

What was censored were the dick pics which were posted without Hunter Biden's consent, violating Twitter's own TOS and breaking the revenge porn law.
 
The Twitter emails between FBI and Twitter were censored by Jim Baker . Let that sink in. This is the guy that was HEAVILY involved in the "Russian Collusion" scandal. He got himself fired from the FBI.

Wrong, what Baker supposedly did, two years later, was dump text exchanges between two low level Twitter employees discussing not to run the NYP narrative, and, all this comes on the word of Musk, and Musk only, now there’s a reliable source

Elon Musk has fired Twitter’s deputy general counsel, James Baker, over his alleged suppression of internal documents about blocking The Post’s Hunter Biden laptop exposé.

“In light of concerns about Baker’s possible role in suppression of information important to the public dialogue, he was exited from Twitter today,” Musk tweeted Tuesday.

Musk added that he questioned Baker before his firing about the events surrounding the laptop suppression scandal and that the lawyer’s explanation was “unconvincing.”

I read about the laptop for 2 years. How is that being censored? You rightys have posted about it for that long. There is no coverup. The problem is you have nothing. The hints and innuendos are all you bring. That is near zipping. Your methodology is better if it stays in the dark. Then you can make all the claims you want and connect them to anyone you choose.

That is why I say- Let the SLANDERERS expose themselves in their House INVESTIGATIONS!

They may want to show Hunter's DIK PIK to everyone, but they are really only going to end up showing their own ugly asses to everyone.

Because everyone already knows that Hunter has had emotional problems struggling with the untimely deaths of his baby Sister, Mother, and BROTHER!

If the FBI fired him why was he trying to protect them by censoring information?

Some of the "censoring" was to protect against possible libel and defamation lawsuits.

Twitter was told by the FBI that Russia was going to release Russian disinformation and it concerned Hunter Biden. That is the government getting involved in getting big tech to censor social media. A violation of the 1st Amendment.

1. The FBI KNEW the laptop was real.

2. The FBI was illegally monitoring Rudy's cloud.

3. The FBI had access to Rudy's and Miranda Devine's email and knew the NY Post was going to publish the story.

He is a liberal Democrat. I suspect he was trying to hide his own involvement. I suspect he still has friends in the FBI that he may be protecting. The fact of the matter he was making it so Taibbi could not access certain files and Taibbi noticed and even Miranda Devine knew their had to be missing files concerning the FBI's role.

Twitter just gave the emails to Taibbi. There is ZERO danger of libel to Twitter. :laugh:

This isn't about Hunter's dick pics that fascinate you and LV426. This is about Joe Biden's corruption and how Hunter Biden functioned as the Biden crime family's bag man in Ukraine and China.
