This is a column from George Will about a group of people in a maximum facility prison earning degrees. For whatever reason i'm not able to post the article so the link is attached.
Prison is obviously a place to be punished for wrongful acts. At the same time many in prison get out and must rejoin society and we have a high recidivism rate. We don't have the money to set up full on schools in prison but I do like the idea of being able to give these people some opportunity and hope so they don't rob me when they get out in the future.
