Eddie Van Halen Dead At The Age of 65

Flu and pneumonia are both lower respiratory infections. Pneumonia is generally what kills you because it fills the lungs with pus or water. That can ok nset quickly and be difficult to manage because flu tx means pumping water into you via IV.
The pneumonia shot uh s a good idea. Its no guarantee but even if you catch it it should be less severe. But if you had it some years ago check with your doc as you will need to have a second treatment. The original formula wasnt quite right and stops working.

Thank you, good advice. :good4u:

You can get pneumonia from lying in bed with any viral or bacteria illness, or even after surgery which is why they make you get up quickly and start moving around. Being upright and moving helps your lungs flush that fluid out so it doesn't breed pathogens.

The Ugly and Unlistenable Death Spiral of Eddie Van Halen

After that? We have witnessed one of the longest, ugliest, and most difficult to watch death spirals in rock history. Certainly there have been waste-of-life flameouts like Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison, as well as abrupt, self-inflicted departures of which Kurt Cobain will likely remain the damaged, dark-angel prototype, and the garden variety excess-driven down-shifts (think Keith Richards and, to a lesser extent, Pete Townshend). But has there been anything else remotely akin to the waste of potential, time, and opportunity that we've had with EVH? To me it's not even debatable: whether he is the second-best or 22nd-best guitarist; even if he is the 92nd-best we are talking about an artist everyone would agree was--through the typical combination of hard work, good fortune and inexplicable gifts--a once-in-a-generation type of talent.

He was a master of tone. Half-way through Eruption he creates sounds of baroque and classical sounding like a pipe organ and then a cello using a bow. Incredible!
