So this is Trumponomics

Crazy Trump has rarely passed up the opportunity to tell Americans that the U.S. economy, with his hand at the wheel, is roaring.

But to Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics, the warning signs—or "red indicators"—are showing up in every corner, from housing to employment to consumer prices. In an interview with Newsweek, Zandi said that his monthslong fears of a major economic downturn may soon come to a head, and that the U.S. economy could slip into a recession by the end of 2025.

How many of these predictions have rang true?
Ask Walter, he is about to lose his fortune betting the S&P will be below 5000 by Sept 30th 2025.
It closes today at 6600.
See ya, wally.

Just keep your head buried in the sand where it belongs
Trump and the MAGAS keep saying tariffs will bring manufacturing back to the US and create a lot of new jobs well IMO here is what those new jobs will look like.
Mostly automation and AI.
There are going to be very few people put to work, people will watch the lines to make sure they keep running , and you will have people repairing the automation.
This is the future of big manufacturing plants.

Based on past performance, you're almost guaranteed to have a recession when a Republican is president.

There were zero recessions caused by Clinton, Obama, Biden, and that covers 20 years of time collectively.

Meanwhile we have lost manufacturing jobs this year......and it sure looks to me like corporations are shedding bureaucracy headcount deciding that they have too many people and will need even less going forwards because of AI.

Well this has been going on for years.
I was an industrial electrician and worked for a large auto maker.
In the 1970's 80's and early 90's we had almost 10,000 people working at our plant and with all the automation and A I they have put in over the last 30 years they now have less then 800 people working there and they are still installing more automation.
Soon they will have less then 700 working there.

You might be interested in something I recently heard....America now does so little manufacturing that almost none of the manufacturing innovation comes from us....China is far in the lead.....even if we did get serious about homeshoring manufacturing (Trump clearly is not) we could not do what China does today.....much less what they will be doing in a few years.
