Well that would sell a lot of newspapers. LOL the real truth is there’s not a whole lot of journalists educated in the sciences. That’s why most top scientists don’t like to talk to reporters. The just always seem to get it wrong. That and a lot of them are too lazy or don’t have funds to actually go to the site and observe how things are playing out in the real world. So their opinions and editorial comments are pretty meaningless.

My dad was a scientist. We were often treated to evening dinner table diatribes about sloppy reporting on science or health-related topics. It was one of his pet peeves. That was over 50 years ago. Not much has changed, eh?
