Earthquake

Hurricanes are over rated unless you live in the tropics.

Tornados? Fuck that shit.

I love tornadoes.. I take pictures of them whenever I can. But, again, ours are usually small... They don't generally take your house away. (There is the rare occasion, like a hurricane in NYC).

Onceler lives in NY, which is not exactly hurricane territory. Though of course we just had one, and we do get them, they are rare. What was really crazy was shortly before the hurricane we had an earthquake. I can really relate to what leaning is saying. I had never felt one in my life and I did not know what was happening. My glass door (to my office) was shaking and first I thought I was having a brain bleed (that's my usual reaction to anything and is part of my weirdness). In about a second I knew it wasn't that, and felt the floor shaking and thought a plane had crashed. I work so close to MacArthur airport you can't overestimate how close I am. I am yards from it. But then I realized I would have heard a noise.

Finally, I thought; earthquake.

Man that was so messed up! Definitely can live without ever feeling another one.

God is displeased. We must kill heretics to appease his righteous anger.

I lived in Kansas for 19 years. I have been through many Earth shakes up here. I was scared shitless a couple of times in Kansas this summer. Drove from Wichita to GC and had to pass by a wall cloud. They had the tornado chasers by the side of the road when we went by. My mother commented she had never seen a wall cloud like the one we saw. It was nerve racking. We got to GC and had another scare. I was ready to leave after that, I prefer Earthquakes, but then I have only been through a 6.5 that was not centered near Anchorage, it was in the inlet and we had little damage. A few bottles at the local stores.

There is nothing more awesome than a huge 2 mile wide tornado, and I would avoid them if I were anybody. I don't live where those things grow.
