One of the very few German officers I completely respect (like any other sane people, especially generals) is Rommel.
Who was strictly a military guy until he acquired political consciousness and considering where and when he acquired it, got him killed.
Rommel was a warrior, not a Nazi at heart. Same goes for all the German officers who plotted to assassinate Hitler.
FWIW, Russia could use a few similarly minded officers these days. LOL

Agreed. He claims to have been an Air Force Captain, but something tragic must have happened to turn him into the cowardly, rage-filled POS he's become on JPP. IMO, a stroke, TBI or adult onset mental illness would account for the change of behavior since the USAF doesn't promote racist traitors to become Captains.

Because I care about the King's English more than most people around here,
I actually checked to see if "gaslighted" rather than "gaslit" is indeed correct.
It is. My main point, though, is that failure to be disciplined about proper usage is a big part of America's lack of dialogue capability,
and I would encourage all people to check on usage when they're not sure.
Sounding illiterate does nothing to help one advance one's point.
But I'll admit that I was leaning wrong about "gaslighted" because it's not a term that I ever use.
