Quite right. It's also completely inapplicable for some of the bombing of WW2, as many different types of bombs were used against many different types of targets. Some of those bombs are EXTREMELY effective at destroying their targets, including all of the equipment inside a building. It also ignores the destruction of service lines TO those buildings, including railroads. or the equipment operators killed in the blast.
For the generic carpet bombing popular in WW2, yes. It DID kill the equipment operators though. Rather hard to operate and fix the equipment that survived without the skilled operators.

Just one of them is about ten to fifteen times the height of a man. These aren't your little desktop chemistry lab centrifuges (which is incapable of enriching uranium anyway!).
