I'm sure you've seen at least one story about the protest--now more than a month long--by Dutch farmers over new pollution regulations. These new regulations target major reductions in nitrogen compounds like NO2 and NH3 (nitrous oxides, and ammonia). Use of anhydrous ammonia as a fertilizer is a major reason we have the farm outputs we do today. Without them, there will either be major reductions in food availability or increases in price, or both.
Yet, the environmental Left is the one pushing these new regulations and they don't give a shit about that. They want reductions in what they see as "pollution" even as 80% of the atmosphere is nitrogen. First it was CFC's and the hole in the ozone layer--a now discredited theory as the hole is still there. Then it was and is CO2. Then CH4 (methane), and now it's nitrogen.
Why anyone still listens to these jackasses is beyond me. You can only cry "Wolf!" so many times before rational people stop listening...
