Drone Protests Grow Worldwide -- Debates will ignore them

The Force is With Me
Public opposition to the growing use of unmanned drones is being made much more visible this week in protests taking place around the world.

The most high-profile event is taking place in Pakistan as Imran Khan leads thousands on a march against US drone strikes. Dozens of non-Pakistanis have also joined the protests in solidarity, including Clive Stafford Smith of the Human Rights group, Reprieve, and members of the US campaign group, CodePink

Protests are also taking place in Australia, the US and Europe. Ten people were arrested at a protest at the US base in Nevada from where US and UK operate armed drones over Afghanistan.

All that trumped-up nonsense about a movie was just a mindfuck to keep Americans from knowing that it is Obama's policy of killing innocent people that the world is protesting against.

As I've said, the presidential debates will ignore the truth of Obama's failed foreign policies .. which is why they keep 3rd parties out of the debates..

Again you tell it like it is....the bullshit and lies from Obama and his parrots about the Libya fiasco is out and as expected, the msm ignores it.....they cover
for Obama's fuckups just like the pinheads on this site do........

The VP debate will be a townhall setting and who knows what topics might come up....Martha Raddatz from ABC, formerly from NPR, leans a little left
but won't have the control over topics that Lehrer had ......
Candy Crowley will do the next Pres. debate and these topics SHOULD be a factor....

No point debating them, both "candidates" will continue using them. It'd be like debating over not shutting down McDonalds.

Thank you.

It will be interesting to see what topics they avoid.

Of course the drone attacks and subsequent protests will be ignored. The Nobel Peace Prize winner is the one launching them... and no Rep would dare criticize a policy that is too easily attached to their party.

Correctomundo...lol

Drone attacks are and will be the future of war.....certainly head over heals better than dropping stupid bombs from 10,000 feet.....
and as you point out....the Nobel winner is using them and cons. won't criticize it....its progress in killing the enemy and protecting our own troops in the process....

Its only when the inevitable 'collateral damage ' occurs that it will be examined.....and collateral damage is inevitable...

Unfortunately you are one on the left who adheres to your principles. You won't see many of your fellow travelers respond to this other than to say "The GOP did it first and they are the worst". You know, that cognitive dissonance thingy again.

After the debate debacle, the next moderator will be ultra careful not to let Obama step on any land mines that could make him look bad.

It has been entertaining to listen to all the spin aka Romney lied, Kerry sucked in debate prep, Lehrer sucked, altitude sickness etc. The truth of the matter is that Obama is really this bad. I don't suspect he will be any better in subsequent debates.

The ultimate irony is that the Obama regime and his loyal adherents thought that killing OBL would take foreign policy off the table. All he would have to spout is "Osama is dead" and any criticism of his foreign policy fuck ups would be neutered. Well, Libya put to rest that lie.

Oh, like Romney won't use them, also. We are an industrialized, military complex and until we change, this will continue to happen.

Without question Romney would use them .. but who opened that door?

I agree with you on the MIC.

I could not agree with you more on the bolded part of your post.

Imran Khan was a great cricketer but he is now a mediocre politician who is constantly veering between being a liberal, by Pakistan standards, and a religious zealot depending on the audience. Nothing will ever change in Pakistan until there is root and branch reform of the ISI and their links with the Taliban.
