Dozens NATO Aircraft Carriers Enter Eastern Mediterranean

Dozens would technically mean more than 12. A plural means more than one, and one in the case of a dozen is 12.

NATO has 16 of the 21 aircraft carriers in the world. That would technically be dozens. I doubt there is any threat that we would send more than a few of those into, so we would not send dozens or even a dozen to anything.

When it comes to aircraft carriers, no other country even begins to compare to the USA. We get so much experience from operating a dozen or so carriers for nearly a hundred years, which no one else has. We can operate our a carriers many times better than any other country. It is truly amazing.

Other NATO countries are helped by the USA. The rest of the world's carriers are jokes.

Dozens is the plural of dozen.
One dozen is 12
Two dozen is 24.
16 is not dozens since it is only 1.4 dozen.
A baker's dozen is not dozens of donuts.
In order to get to dozens you must have reached the plural which would require 24.

And, right now, the US has just two carriers in the Med plus one LHA that are off Israel. The Italians, French, Spanish, and British have zero of their smaller carriers there. Three (3) carriers, if you count the LHA, isn't even one dozen.

I agree there is no need for a dozen carriers there, and I said it well before you did.

As for your claim that it is "just" two carriers... Two carriers is an extremely powerful force. One carrier is an extremely powerful force, but two is an amazing force.

As a side note, because Serendipity is here, Thailand has an carrier... SORT OF.... Well a double sort of.

The first sort of is that it is only a STOVL carrier, not a full carrier. The second sort of is that it is not operational, and the Thais were never able to keep it operational. It is a former Spanish mini carrier, that the Thai Government bought and tows around pretending to be a real power.

I would point out that "dozens" is clearly wrong. The US has two carriers present along with an LHA. Even if the US had every carrier in the fleet there, along with Britain and France, it wouldn't amount to "dozens."

Yes, two carriers alone gives the US almost the largest air force in the region at the moment, but it isn't dozens of carriers...

Whatever is or is not a crime in Thailand, it is not a crime in the USA to make fun of Thailand's fake carrier, Thailand's king, and even the entire country. I can make fun of my own countries carriers, our President, and even the entire country. We have freedom of speech.

If you feel that this is a dangerous conversation for you, in Thailand, you are free to not engage in it. If Thailand has a problem with freedom of speech in the USA, they are free to send their carrier against our carriers. My guess is they will chose not to do that.

That would be a very accurate statement. NATO has clustered dozens of ships in the Eastern Mediterranean to deal with the issues. Including two aircraft carriers, which is an impressive force. China and Russia have nothing to even begin to compare, especially given that Russia's Black Sea fleet is completely bottled up in the Black Sea. China has little experience sending their ships far from China, and this is very far from China.

I do not think people realize how far ahead America is in carrier strength. We have 11 carriers, each is more powerful than any other countries carrier forces, and arguably each is more powerful than all other countries carrier forces.
