Double whammy for Americans: Inflation continues to rise as jobs outlook grows weaker

Consumer prices rose 0.4% in August, driving the annual inflation rate to 2.9%, the highest since January, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data released Thursday. The reading marked an acceleration from the 2.7% increase seen in July, with price hikes driving up the cost of Americans’ most basic needs.

Grocery and fuel prices shot higher in August after falling the month before. Food at home prices rose 0.6% — the highest monthly jump in nearly three years — and gas prices climbed by 1.9% after falling 2.2% the month before.

My point to you is a LOT of these people are losing their jobs because of Trumps tariffs driving the cost to produce " American made " products has gone up driving the price the consumer pays up driving sales down.
And I am sure those people that lost their jobs don't think it is just fine.

A just spent 10 days with a scientist who was DOGED out. A seismologist who monitored our dam safety. Yes, it was wrong to let him go. Along with other scientists in many other agencies, hired to protect our health and safety.

Another thing is Trump was being a big crybaby and would NOT let his people tell any of the incoming admin any info, so Biden didn't know he shouldn't have given another bailout to the American people that would cause such high inflation. Maybe IF he wasn't such a big baby and gave Biden the info he needed it wouldn't have happened.

We're talking about people who were fired for their disgusting remarks... As for the DOGE cuts I hope they're in the process of We're working all those agencies so that our health and safety is much better protected.... Too many cooks spoil the broth you know...

Maybe you should go back and read the OP.
It is about prices going up and people losing their jobs because of price increases due to Trumps tariffs and his really bad handling of the economy.
