why is it that Sessions should be refused a cabinet position because he said something about the KKK forty years ago, but Byrd is honored and revered by the Democrat Party after he led the KKK forty years ago.......

Sessions said he would like the Klan if they didn't smoke weed lol. An obvious joke.

Oh, and he successfully prosecuted a Klansman for the death penalty.

Some racist. I guess they don't make em like they used to.

As always, I think it's extremely telling that whenever there is YET another Republican who has questionable words about race, the ONLY response that the right has is:

"Byrd."

Thats the only response needed.....a known KKK member, embraced by the Democrats for decades
that talked about white niggers on tv just a few short years ago, against a lame joke of a Republican
about the KKK smoking grass ? NO contest.

You wanna be the apologist for Byrd and the Democrats that loved him....have at it.

Sorry - it's lame. It does the opposite of what you think it does. When all you have is one name for decades, to counter literally hundreds of names on the right - it just reinforces that MOST of the racism is on the right.

You'll never understand that, though.

dont forget he also fought to desegregate schools in alabama.

I never gave a damn about Byrd, but he renounced his past. Did Byrd seek a cabinet position?

Thats a big difference between you and me....I deal in facts and logical conclusions from past performance

you deal in unfounded accusations, innuendo, conjecture, conclusions arrived at by guesswork, popular opinion....

and last but not least, DNC talking points and left wing media.

He was also a republican who reached across the aisle and voted to approve the nomination of Holder as AG.

The right has grown so much more racist today, they'll approve a guy they rejected 30 years back. We haven't had a government this racist in centuries.

How about, Byrd, Wilson, L. Johnson, and all others along the assorted list of Racist and Bigoted Democrats who brought us such great things as the KKK, Jim Crow Laws at the federal level, the Civil War...etc. LMAO

You can run but you can't hide from history actual. :) Robert Byrd is the most recent documentation of Democrat racism and bigotry....your guild supported and kept this career politician and KKK supporter in office until he died in 2010. But...history will remember the first Black President as the president who instigated the most divisive period of race relations since the 60s when the Democrats in congress filibustered the Civil Rights Act for 57 days straight...before they decided they need to use the Black vote in order to garner more power for the Bigot LBJ.

What? Have you got a frog in pocket comrade? The democrat party brought us such noble institutions and events like the KKK, The CIVIL WAR, SLAVERY, JIM CROW, THE SUPPRESSION of WOMEN AND MINORITY RIGHTS OF VOTING and PROPERTY OWNERSHIP......:) Not to mention involvement in World War I and II....the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam so called police action. A fine and distinguished party that you have decided to hitch your wagon to....Comrade.

that is because the democrats are closeted racists who left the door open. they just don't acknowledge it.

Listen carefully on this: the different between you & me is that you are a mindless hack, completely immersed in dense koolaid from which you are unable to see anything clearly, and forever apologizing for anyone & anything that is on the right side of the spectrum.

And I'm a thinking, rational human being.

Got it?
