If I say something they dont belive to be true about Mormons, not even anything bad about them, they are all over it screaming bigot!

If others on this board call Muslams names or claim they are all violent hate mongers... they dont even respond.

There is a difference between laughing and derisive mockery. I'll grant that, but ignoring the derisive mockery from the past to enable the spread of ignorance in another doesn't change that you are enabling a bigot.

There is stuff in Mormonism that is WAY nuttier than what is being discussed on this thread. To me, almost all religions have practices that are nutty. The more recent ones seems nuttier, because they are not as established - think Scientology. But just because some branches of Christianity are older, that doesn't make the practices they have less nutty to me. If you think about it and really look at them objectively, they basically all of characteristics of what we consider as cults.

Does that make me a bigot?

No matter how much the enablers support you, it won't change why you started this thread. No matter how innocent you want to pretend to be, you started this to bash religious views. The only thing I am not certain of is whether you wanted to bash Mormons or Evangelicals. I lean towards the latter.

Well, let's say you mocked them specifically and consistently above other of the "Christians" then spread simple ignorance in a thread later, even after you fully understood your original premise was hogwash, then I would consider you a bigot. Yeah.

The point is, Jarod did exactly what you said those bigots do when they call Obama a Muslim. He painted Rubio in that religion because he thought it would reflect negatively on him. It is religious bigotry because he actually believes that it is so bad he has to reach back to childhood to do it. The EXACT same thing people do with Obama and Islam...

He brings forth a topic for discussion and you rush in to call him a bigot. I thought discussion is what this board is about. I seriously don't read Jarod as a bigot. I think you are hyper sensitive about him for some unknown reason.

2) I said.... show me where "ONCE AN ALLEGATION WAS MADE THAT I WAS INCORRECT" I again claimed it???
3) I might be wrong, I admit that, I can see the argument that they dont belvie that. The Mormons who are my main source of information claim differently.
4) In your first responce, before I had any chance to say anything like, "ohh, you are right, I misunderstood Mormonism" you called me a bigot!

Actually I should encourage this kind of thing. The earlier this stuff reaches people the more they will learn about the religion, and the more they know the less likely it will be that it will reflect negatively on the ticket.

And no, Jarod, I defend all Faiths. Not because I believe in them, but because I don't think people deserve my disrespect for believing in them.

Well, except Scientology... I can't get past the weird on that one. I'll even admit that. It is hard to respect it as a religion. I'm sure over time I'll get there... maybe.
