It's my new fascination. It seemed to start as a personality cult and took off from there.
Back in Eighteen dickety two, how many people married 14 year olds? Seriously. I have no idea. Was it normal for women to be married at that age?
It happened, but generally girls were 16 or older. Boys were going to war as young as 14.
Mormons, however, would argue that while Joseph Smith was sealed to a multitude of women (including girls as young as 14), he did not consummate the marriages because they were exclusively "spiritual" in nature. Is there any evidence to counter their claim?
http://www.wivesofjosephsmith.org/02-FannyAlger.htmChauncey Webb recounts Emma’s later discovery of the relationship: “Emma was furious, and drove the girl, who was unable to conceal the consequences of her celestial relation with the prophet, out of her house”.
First, link up the "rule" on an official Mormon website. Just saying, "According to the Mormon Church"... doesn't make it real.
(There is no "Mormon" church, BTW, they are called Latter Day Saints in official channels).
LOL. I know many, many "ex" Mormons. This is just stupid religious bigotry. You make up whatever you want and then expect us all to believe it.
Rubio is a practicing Catholic who converted to Catholicism at 11 years old.

Now, tell me again how liberals actually will learn about something before spouting stupid.
i am surprised at you, lumping all liberals into one group, shame on you - it is just as bad as lumping all of any group into category or label
SF does the Catholic church still consider you a Catholic?
You are making assumptions. I was pointing out that that very person had made stupid statements about how liberals always checked facts first. I was lumping one person only into the hypocrite pile.
You should go back to the third grade, try to learn reading comprehension... I never said that I belive Rubio to be a Mormon, it matters to some people what the Mormon Church belives. Additionally Rubio is Catholic and many evangelicals have a problem with Catholics.Very likely, but I also have done nothing to let them know. They don't keep track like the Mormons apparently do. When I went to college, I simply stopped going. Since it was a new parish, they wouldn't know. The point of this is that Jarod started a stupid fucking thread on a 'double Mormon' ticket because he wanted to bash those who do have faith. His normal schtick on this is to say 'oh, Romney a mormon, those evangelicals will never vote for one of those'... only he wished to create the 'double' ticket so he could really hammer away. So he lied. Rubio is a Catholic. He has been since he was a teen. It matters not what the Mormon church believes, it matters what Rubio believes. But Jarod doesn't care about that. He just wanted to instigate another attack thread.
The fact that you and others continue to support Jarod's stupidity, only enables him. Don't be an enabler.
Once proven incorrect and continuing spreading the nonsense, that is bigotry. Do you still insist that they are "always considered" Mormons even though you now know there is an official process to leave the church and removed from their roles? So far you have. That is deliberately spreading what you know to be untrue...
Zappa is mistaken, either deliberately or in ignorance, at least according to the ex-Mormons that I know (they have no incentive to lie "for" the religion)...
Your name is added to a list of those who have resigned and according to official Dogma you no longer have access to the best of the afterlife if you resign. While they do continue to keep a list of those who have resigned, they are not "members", they are in fact listed as "resigned" and are actively contacted in the hope they can return them to the "fold"...
This would net you contact, especially so if you officially resign, but you are not "officially" considered a member. You are considered to be resigned from your membership and it says so next to your name...
I have provided you links to many sites that show you how to officially resign, because it is (uniquely in my experience) actually allowed though you will find resistance when you try... they'll try to keep you, but if you do it correctly there is official means to resign even so.
The reality is, Mormonism is actually one of the few religions that have an official means to leave the church, the originating post is simply incorrect. The problem that I have, and what I see as a form of intolerance, when shown to be in error people here seem to seize upon anything to keep the fiction alive. Very few people remain purposefully ignorant when faced with factual information provided to them, those that do are deliberately ignorant and spread what they know to be misinformation. This is a form of intolerance, and indeed is bigotry.
And according to the ex-Mormon sites... You can even get your name removed.

So, its clear, the reality is that there are procedures that lead to having your status changed, there is also evidence that they continue to locate you and continue to consider your status as it relates to the after life..... So we could argue all day about if you are still a Mormon or not after having been baptised.
Now, dont you people feel silly for having called me a liar and a bigot over an arguable issue? Seriously were those overly harsh words true or necessary? An apology is in order!
This is nonsense based on more ignorance of the religion, they have the same attitude about your afterlife as they do with those that resigned. Everybody can get to heaven, just not to the best bits which are saved for the LDS Elites who have maintained their status of Member in the church. Unless you are trying to say they believe that everybody is a member of their church, which is nonsense, you are just ready to wrap that ignorance around yourself, shoot you shower in it... Then try to tell me it smells like roses. It doesn't, it smells like ignorance. So, its clear, the reality is that there are procedures that lead to having your status changed, there is also evidence that they continue to locate you and continue to consider your status as it relates to the after life..... It isn't arguable. They do not "officially" consider you a "Member" as you claimed. Spreading it further after you know the truth is absolutely bigotry. Jarod you know they'll never admit they're wrong. I didn't think you said anything bigoted at all. Don't worry about it.

Saying, "Not that there's anything wrong with that..." doesn't make you less, deliberately now, ignorant.
