Back in Eighteen dickety two, how many people married 14 year olds? Seriously. I have no idea. Was it normal for women to be married at that age?

It happened, but generally girls were 16 or older. Boys were going to war as young as 14.

not strictly true.....Smith actually received his vision regarding polygamy in 1833, right after his wife discovered the housekeeper was pregnant.....the specific revelation he received from God at that time was that if his wife objected she would burn in hell forever....

You are making assumptions. I was pointing out that that very person had made stupid statements about how liberals always checked facts first. I was lumping one person only into the hypocrite pile.

Very likely, but I also have done nothing to let them know. They don't keep track like the Mormons apparently do. When I went to college, I simply stopped going. Since it was a new parish, they wouldn't know. The point of this is that Jarod started a stupid fucking thread on a 'double Mormon' ticket because he wanted to bash those who do have faith. His normal schtick on this is to say 'oh, Romney a mormon, those evangelicals will never vote for one of those'... only he wished to create the 'double' ticket so he could really hammer away. So he lied. Rubio is a Catholic. He has been since he was a teen. It matters not what the Mormon church believes, it matters what Rubio believes. But Jarod doesn't care about that. He just wanted to instigate another attack thread.

The fact that you and others continue to support Jarod's stupidity, only enables him. Don't be an enabler.

You should go back to the third grade, try to learn reading comprehension... I never said that I belive Rubio to be a Mormon, it matters to some people what the Mormon Church belives. Additionally Rubio is Catholic and many evangelicals have a problem with Catholics.

Show me where once an allegation was made that I was incorrect that I said, "Once a Mormon always a Mormon"! I still dont see where I have been proven wrong, I spoke again with a Mormon friend last night who agreed that there is a procedure where your name can be noted as having left the church, however they still consider you having been previously brought to the light and expect that you will return to the fold and are only temporarly "inactive".

Your name is added to a list of those who have resigned and according to official Dogma you no longer have access to the best of the afterlife if you resign. While they do continue to keep a list of those who have resigned, they are not "members", they are in fact listed as "resigned" and are actively contacted in the hope they can return them to the "fold"...

This is a form of intolerance, and indeed is bigotry.

So, its clear, the reality is that there are procedures that lead to having your status changed, there is also evidence that they continue to locate you and continue to consider your status as it relates to the after life..... So we could argue all day about if you are still a Mormon or not after having been baptised.

Now, dont you people feel silly for having called me a liar and a bigot over an arguable issue? Seriously were those overly harsh words true or necessary? An apology is in order!

This is nonsense based on more ignorance of the religion, they have the same attitude about your afterlife as they do with those that resigned. Everybody can get to heaven, just not to the best bits which are saved for the LDS Elites who have maintained their status of Member in the church. Unless you are trying to say they believe that everybody is a member of their church, which is nonsense, you are just ready to wrap that ignorance around yourself, shoot you shower in it... Then try to tell me it smells like roses. It doesn't, it smells like ignorance.

It isn't arguable. They do not "officially" consider you a "Member" as you claimed. Spreading it further after you know the truth is absolutely bigotry. It isn't even based in ignorance any longer...

Saying, "Not that there's anything wrong with that..." doesn't make you less, deliberately now, ignorant.

Your OP was trying to push that there could be a double Mormon ticket. Why would you say that if not to try and pretend Rubio was a Mormon? Why did you even bring it up Jarod? No one cares that he was baptized a Mormon as a young kid. The fact that he has been Catholic most of his life is known and accepted. So why would you bring it up Jarod? It is meaningless.

Bigotry to me is someone calling all Muslims "barbarians," or something along those lines (which happens a lot here, btw, without nearly as much consternation as we've seen on this thread - without any, actually). A finer point about what consititutes membershiip to a religion? It just doesn't rise to that level, or near that level. Total faux outrage from you on this.
