Don't be a mental slave!

Does this mean that members of your family are going to stop working for the eeeeeeeeeeeeeevil oil companies and that you're going to renounce all the monies you have, that were earned at the expense of the working poor?
Not me....I love Corporations.....they paid me well for over 37 years allowing me to have a nice home, raise a cared for family, put my kids though college and a medical school, a stock program, supplied me with an adequate retirement, and medical benefit package even after 12 years of retirement......
Corporations are what made the country great and raised our standard of living to where we became the envy of the world and allowed us to help others nations grow and prosper....

It was the fashioning of corporations by men of foresight and courage that spurred your country on. It is the false economy of keeping those corporations alive when they have out lived their usefullness that is dragging you down. Everything has its time, but stupid people cannot see when that time is over.

Corporations that were goosed by the union you belonged to for 37 years.

Obviously it is far better to be slave to a totalitarian government that an evil corporation. Corporations provide society with goods and services that would be cost prohibitive to a large portion of the populace without the high efficiencies that occur through the corporate infrastructure. Corporations employ a large portion of the population.

Corporations thrive when the people have money to buy their goods and services, so obviously corporations want to make us all poor, so we can no longer afford their goods and services. Corporations want to destroy themselves so they will no longer have the political power derived though their use of their massive profits.

OTOH, big mommy government, which grows in power when the people are more dependent on the benevolence of government assistance obviously desires people to thrive economically so they never have to depend on big mommy government again.

oh yes, you forgot about the corporate outsourcing that is destroying our middle class - corporations are not people despite what scotus says and should not be treated as such

I also detest that the courts have determined corporations - which are nothing more than a legal fiction created for certain conveniences - are the same as a person. It is stupid. However, that has nothing to do with the fact that the left's demonization of corporations is beyond the pale.

Also, shall we call up speeches from William Jefferson Clinton, defending NAFTA and telling us all about how our economy was shifting away from manufacturing anyway, and we would lead the world into the new economy based on data-processing services?

But the bottom line, when looking at who the real culprits are, is who benefits the more from decay of the middle class? On the one hand, we have corporations who are dependent on the people's ability to purchase for their own economic health. When the people have strong purchasing power, the corporations thrive. On the other, we have government, whose power GROWS with every person who becomes dependent on government assistance. Which do you REALLY think is maneuvering the middle class to a lower class?

Additionally, we have a specific faction of government who wants to make the U.S. less economically friendly to corporations. What do you think the result would be if we start all-but punishing corporations for even existing? Is that going to END the outsourcing, or increase it? And, again, who BENEFITS if even more people are thrust into the government assistance traps? Corporations? Or that certain faction of government who promotes punishing corporations and promotes greater and greater government dependence?

Are you a thinking person, or just one more mindless mommy government drone?
