Donald Trump: ‘Trained teachers should be able to have guns in classrooms’?!!

She was not parsing.

She simply asked you to define many so she could understand the context of your question. Because if by many you mean a majority then no - she disagrees with you. She believes most Texans simply value their independence and don't want outsiders coming in to their state and changing their lifestyle.

In other words: she answered your question. She has already conceded that there are bigots in Texas, just as there are in every other State across America and the world. Texas is hardly unique in that regard.

Thank you that's all I was trying to say

It's a huge state with millions of people in it. I'm positive that you could find 84 examples in most other states too.

Does the existence of 84 hate groups mean that there are "many" Texans that think that those hippies, Jews, blacks, Hispanics, and Asians have GOT TO GO, Norah Beth?

No it wouldn't be "many" in my opinion. Even if there were 1000 people in each of those 84 hate groups it would still be less than 1% of the Texas population.

Parsing some more, Norah Beth?

Then there aren't "many" Muslim terrorists, using that parsing standard, are there, Norah Beth?

Listen to Fale. Fale is your friend. Fale wants you to climb in with the master denier:

I thought BDS was bad. But it seems that TDS is going to be in a class all on its own.

Capitalism is the mere projection of banker power.

We should move to a barter system, leaving the pretend producers and parasites in the dust.

Can you give an example?
Marijuana is illegal, even medical marijuana is severely limited
Abortion is nearly impossible to obtain, although legal in the USA
LBGTs are discriminated against
Prostitution is illegal
There are Mexicans and then there are "mexicans"

That's not really true about Texans unless they've never left their hometown or drove more than a few hours away. East Texas, Central Texas, the gulf coast, and West Texas all have very different geographies and even the cities and small towns can have different cultures. For example a lot of central to southwest central Texas is very German, southeast Texas is very Cajun and Vietnamese. When it comes to geography East Texas is thick piney woods, central Texas is beautiful hill country, west Texas very desert like and arid, the gulf coast which has Palm trees and feels like you could be in Florida or somewhere like that. Theres rivers and lakes that are brown as mud and warm in some areas of Texas and crystal clear and cold in other areas. There's farmers, ranchers, suburbanites, hippies, businessmen, Christians, Jews, whites, blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and more. Drive across Texas and you'll see more diversity of geography and culture than many states in my opinion.

Been to Texas a quote a few times. I hear what you're saying and I don't disagree but my point is i can see more of those differences in a 20 minute drive than you can in two hours.

ok but to be fair most of those things are illegal or restricted in the majority of the country. Marijuana is illegal almost everywhere except for a couple of states. Abortion is restricted in other states too and in all honesty i'm ok with restrictions on abortion. LBGT's aren't discriminated against any more or less than most other states in my opinion unless you have specifics. Austin and Travis County is known for being a left leaning part of the state and Houston has an openly gay mayor. There's discrimination sure but theres discrimination in blue states as well. Prostitution is illegal in pretty much the whole country not just Texas. And Mexicans are part of the history and culture of this state and are a big percentage of the population in most of central, south, and west Texas and the majority are liked and part of the community. There are bigots again but no more or less than other states that have a good mixture of race.

From a personal freedom point of view id be ok with legalizing or loosening restrictions on things like drugs since I think the impact is similar to prohibition. I don't do drugs and never will but the way drugs are currently regulated isn't good in my opinion. Prostitution as well although I would hope and pray a woman would choose a different path.
