Donald Trump says Bill Clinton was better than Barack Obama

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Postal_Service

The United States Postal Service (USPS; also known as the Post Office, U.S. Mail, or Postal Service) is an independent agency of the United States federal government responsible for providing postal service in the United States, including its insular areas and associated states. It is one of the few government agencies explicitly authorized by the United States Constitution.
The U.S. Mail traces its roots to 1775 during the Second Continental Congress, when Benjamin Franklin was appointed the first postmaster general. The Post Office Department was created in 1792 from Franklin's operation, elevated to a cabinet-level department in 1872, and transformed in 1971 into the U.S. Postal Service as an independent agency

see the founders had no fucking problem with a socialistic program being part of America.

the right merely lies about it

The official post office was created in 1792 as the Post Office Department (USPOD). It was based on the Constitutional authority empowering Congress "To establish post offices and post roads". The 1792 law provided for a greatly expanded postal network, and served editors by charging newspapers an extremely low rate. The law guaranteed the sanctity of personal correspondence, and provided the entire country with low-cost access to information on public affairs, while establishing a right to personal privacy.[15]

Those are socialist countries? They're run the same as Cuba and Venezuela with no market elements?

Seriously Cawacko, playing dumb does not become you.

You are fully aware that conservatives in the Republican Party have spent decades calling the democracies of western Europe "socialist".

You can't run away from that history now, just because it doesn't suit you in this thread.

Don't get mad at me....it is your own party that calls western Europe "socialist". Your beef is with your own party, who routinely calls European socialist.

Lately it seems that not a day goes by without a Republican presidential candidate portraying Europe as a socialist nightmare. Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum paint a picture of the Old World as unfree, strangulated by bureaucratic and inefficient welfare systems, and unable to reform and modernize. To these Republicans, Europe seems to be the antipode to everything America is meant to be.

I understand that stump speeches are coarse and that, to Republican candidates, Europe must be bad because President Obama occasionally praises some of its achievements, such as universal health care or the “green” revolution.

But when Romney, Gingrich and Santorum warn about “socialist Europe,” they sound as though they are talking about the Soviet empire, which vanished long ago. Europe is the European Union, a modern entity of 27 democratic countries that, despite many commonalities, greatly differ in history, culture, language, sociology and politics. Europe is difficult to comprehend, but viewing it through a single lens is like calling the United States a Third World nation because there are very poor areas in the South where some people live in shacks or have little access to health care or where some schools are corridors of shame.

There are varying degrees of socialism of course. The OP said nothing about republicans or democrats. He spoke from an anti capitalist perspective. Those folks tend to support the Chavez and Castro types.

As for Western Europe they are more socialist than rhe U.S. and less than Cuba and Venezuela. Can go into way more details when I'm not sitting in church than this but several of the countries have changed forms of their economies and there is much economic struggle for many. So a mixed economy socialist paradise it is not

Western Europe, especially Scandinavia, is undoubtedly a hybrid political/economic system. Democratic socialism, as I believe they call themselves. Republicans for years - you know, your fellow Republicans - have made message board careers of calling the countries of western Europe "socialists", and a recent American president a "Kenyan Muslim Marxist".

If your own party is going to call Sweden socialist - and you never made an attempt to correct them in the 20 years prior to this thread - you really can't complain when liberals use Republican's own words to make a point

Not following you last paragraph there.

Cuba is a Communist Nation.

Those are nations listed are more socialist than the United States. You see, there is no absolute Socialist or Capitalist nations neither exist in any pure form. The United States has always been a mix, always will be.
