Donald Trump must be indicted — and this time, I believe Merrick Garland will act

I only hope Garland and his DOJ are being thorough before indicting Trump?!!

House committee evidence leaves no room for doubt — and holding Trump accountable is the only way to save democracy

Following the final hearing of the congressional investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, the evidence is overwhelming: The Department of Justice must bring criminal charges against Donald Trump and many others for their culpability for the attack. The evidence of criminal conduct by the former president is so strong, and the offenses so consequential to the continued viability of American democracy, that indictment is the only appropriate outcome — and I believe the DOJ will indict.

The select committee's public hearings, which culminated Oct. 13, made clear how Trump and his allies planned and executed a conspiracy to overturn the will of the American people. The committee demonstrated that Trump and those around him knew he had lost the 2020 presidential election but nevertheless pushed false election fraud claims to justify their efforts to overturn the results. The committee explained how Trump and his allies illegally pressured Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the will of the people, illegally pressured and harassed Arizona and Georgia legislators and election workers to do the same, and pressured the Department of Justice to legitimize election fraud lies to create a false pretext for overturning the election.

The committee further demonstrated that Trump's allies were in touch with violent extremist groups to plan the "Stop the Steal" rally on the morning of Jan. 6, that Trump had clearly specified that date for mob action in a tweet — after a marathon meeting with lawyers made clear that other options to overturn the election were not promising — that Trump sent a mob he knew to be armed to the Capitol to stop the peaceful transfer of power, and that he anticipated, incited and encouraged the violence that occurred on Jan. 6.

While the question of whether to indict a former president yields few easy answers, there is only one that is just: Trump must face criminal charges for his efforts to defraud the American people of their right to elect a president.

I agree Trump must be indicted. I think it’s likely in the weeks after the midterm election. I knew it wouldn’t happen till after. What we know already is criminal, I imaging there is worse we don’t know about.

Will THIS be the time you get him??? LOL

Will THIS be the time you get him??? LOL

Unlike the non-stop 35 year attempt to get Hillary behind bars, it appears Trump might actually have done some bad things.

But I also understand that we need to be mindful of the Republican ethos which actually VALUES the stealing of national secrets as well as overturning a free election, so we will have to be careful not to make the Republicans think these are "bad" things that everyone dislikes. We wouldn't want folks on the Right to feel bad about anything because when they feel bad they tend to get in their cars and drive over people or beat them to within an inch of their lives with flagpoles or fire extinquishers.

So you're answer "Yes, THIS is the time we get trump" LOL I usually save the word adorable for kids and puppies but that was adorable.

Speaker Pelosi's husband attacked with a hammer. Things will only get worse. Garland is incompetent.

Let’s me sooth you a little

Indictments come after the election as decent protocol has been practiced

Donny is not the only one indicted

Republicans in office also get indicted at the same time

They lose their seats

Get it

Interesting point, “ Republican ethos which actually VALUES the stealing of national secrets as well as overturning a free election,” and it certainly appears that individual character nor ethics have any weight in picking their leases

But as to Trump being indicted, it wouldn’t mean anything, as we have seen, with his army of attorneys, advocates in political positions, and a major news entity, he will never see the inside of a courtroom let alone jail. Everything will be delayed, postponed, appealed long beyond Donnie’s life span, and in the meantime, he’ll relish the attention, and as you show, it means nothing to his lemmings

Nah, because you lot whine so much (and like I said, some of the folks on the Right go full on mental and start killing people like the dude in Charlottesville, when they are stressed, so we'll probably let Trump skate on stealing national secrets and possibly selling them to Russian oligarchs who hold a huge chunk of his debt and finance a lot of his "businesses" (per his own son's admission).

Don't worry. You won. AMerica is dead. Hope you are happy!

Yeah, Trump has a lifetimes' worth of experience of either "settling out of court" (wink, wink) or just throwing money at atty's to keep it in play for as long as humanly possible. It's a privilege of the ultrawealthy that justice is affordable. And injustice is only slightly more expensive, but still within the budget.

Remember you people created trump. You're just another leftist wing nut with no self assessment skills whatsoever.
