Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States has died age 100. Tributes are pouring in, including from President-elect Donald Trump.
He offered his sympathies, remarking: "I just heard of the news about the passing of President Jimmy Carter. Those of us who have been fortunate to have served as President understand this is a very exclusive club, and only we can relate to the enormous responsibility of leading the Greatest Nation in History.
"The challenges Jimmy faced as President came at a pivotal time for our country and he did everything in his power to improve the lives of all Americans. For that, we all owe him a debt of gratitude.
"Melania and I are thinking warmly of the Carter Family and their loved ones during this difficult time. We urge everyone to keep them in their hearts and prayers."

But his response has left internet users fuming, claiming he "made it all about himself" and should be banned from the funeral. One X user wrote: "I’m not going to post Trump’s Jimmy Carter message. As I’m sure you already guessed, he found a way to make it about himself."
Trump has previously feuded with the late president and his family, even making a dig on his 100th birthday.
In Waunakee, Wisconsin, Trump took aim at both Joe Biden and Carter, calling Biden “the worst president,” and declaring Carter “the happiest man because Carter is considered a brilliant president by comparison.”
Now, people are insisting Trump is not invited to the funeral of Carter. One wrote: "I hope Jimmy Carter’s family doesn’t invite Donald Trump to the funeral after all the times Donald smack talked him. Bro doesn’t deserve to be in the same vicinity as his body."
Another said: "Trump should not be allowed at President Carters funeral."
"I think it would be better for Donald Trump not to attend Jimmy Carter’s funeral. In fact, I don’t even know if he’ll be invited," one wrote.
Another wrote: "Trump should stay away from the Carter funeral. He would defile it with his disgusting presence."
While one said: "Trump isn’t fit to be in the same building as Jimmy Carter and I hope he is excluded from any services."
