"Donald Trump is calling for the impeachment of Mitch McConnell. One problem"

"Donald Trump is calling for the impeachment of Mitch McConnell. One problem: You cannot impeach a senator."

"During a radio interview on the conservative John Fredericks Show, the former president lambasted the GOP leader, later calling for McConnell's impeachment and accusing him of working with Democrats to blow up the debt ceiling because they have something on him. Trump did not specify what he meant by this."

"Just to be clear: You can't impeach a sitting senator."

"Trump said if he runs for president again in 2024 and wins, he could guarantee McConnell will not be be made majority leader. In his place, Trump suggested Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), the current chair of the party's Senate campaign arm. "Rick is a hard worker, he should be able to beat him," Trump said."

Not that it is surprising, but Trump's understanding of the Constitution is as weak as that of most of the MAGA militia on this forum

That would be a good one, Donnie and the Mitch, you would think that McConnell, given his age, and all the bullshit he has had to put up with from Trump, would finally be the big name Republican who would finally come out with the truth of January 6th and the Big Lie, least a much as he openly expressed immediately after the attempted coup

Trump has too much Russian supplied dirt on McConnall

lame semantics

Article 1 section 5 provides for a way to expel a sitting senator

Expulsion and impeachment are not the same, impeachment are formal charges bought forward, expulsion is thrown out with a straight member vote, as I said, Trump's understanding of the Constitution is as weak as that of most of the MAGA militia on this forum

As much as I despise Trump, McConnell actually terrifies me. McConnell is something Trump isn't: smart enough to play the game. McConnell appears to have absolutely ZERO scruples and is ONLY interested in POWER. Unlike Trump who also believes in nothing but Trump, McConnell can and does play the game expertly. Given his inability to be phased by his own glaring horrific hypocrisy he is loosed from all moral and ethical constraints and he's smart enough to make horrible things happen. Just look at SCOTUS. He effectively twisted every aspect of our government to ensure the COnservatives could pack the court with religious ideologues.

Only problem in the long run for this type of avarice is that it sometimes comes back to bite one in the behind. If America goes full on "Gilead" and Mitchy thinks of himself as a "Commander" he will soon find that the MOB holds more power than he could ever want and they don't always play the game nicely.

Mitch is just a talented weasel

I really wonder what Goods the Russians gave Trump on him and his wife

He’s stuck on a trump leash

He will never have power again

Too old and even republicans hate him

I would be VERY surprised if Trump doesn't have a firm grip on both proper semantics as well as the Constitution. He really seems like a super-duper smart guy.

...and how is Donald going to find that?????

Trump knows nothing

Hes a great con man

His only talent
